4 out of 5 stars Fanfrickentastic!.......2007-07-30

I invite anyone who likes Rammstein, or any kind of German Industrial Metal, to check this band out! They're fricken awesome! :) Very raw sound! Something to bang your head to!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Second Offering.......2007-06-25

It's not often I purchase an album where all the songs stand out, but this second release from Eisbrecher really comes out kicking all the way to the end.

The guitars come over a lot heavier in this mix yet still compliment the synth sequences. The end result is a real deep and bone crunching track list.

Vocally, Alexx performs excellently providing the necessary front-man style needed for this genre of music. And let's face it, vocals sound more powerful and meaningful when sung in German.

Eisbrecher have hit the mark with this CD, something Rammstein should have done but fell short of with their Rosenrot release.

4 out of 5 stars Good sophmore album..........2007-05-13

I've been following Eisbrecher for a while now and their a great band. Their trip rock is outstandin!!! Their new album Antikorper follows in the foot steps of their first one. Very good electronica with hard riffs. Good stuff!!! The only difference was that their music got alot harder. At first i was dissapointed and thought they sounded alot more like Rammstein...Which is not bad but still..Eisbrecher always sounded alot different. But as i listend to it more and more it seperated itself and was truly a good album...If you like a good electronic rock album with good singing ....get this album and their first...

5 out of 5 stars Rammstein Who????.......2007-05-04

This is my first Eisbrecher CD since Rammstein. All I have to say is, WOW!!! It's some of the BEST industrial heavy metal I have heard in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time. It's good people, VERY GOOD!!

4 out of 5 stars Very Nice.......2007-05-03

A very solid album with plenty of good songs. The second half of the CD gets better, with more variety in the sound, and there are a few really outstanding tracks like Vergissmeinnicht and Ohne Dich.

i can't tell you how onderful this album is it had me singing along from the get go.

5 out of 5 stars My Greatest Mistake.......2007-04-27

I actually purchased this album by complete accident. For some reason, it appears in the search results for Rammstein and in my shopping spree to own everything Rammstein, I wasn't paying attention and it found itself on my doorstep. However, after listening to it, I was absolutely pleased. While Eisbrecher does not have the "slightly evil and demented" lyrics of Rammstein, they do have the deep pounding melodies with the perfect mix of highs, mids and just enough ultra lows that you stay mesmerized by it. If you are an audiophile, you deserve this album and if you have the system, this album will definitely test the structural integrity of your house.

5 out of 5 stars Chance encounter.......2007-02-18

While doing some research for my German class, I saw the name "Eisbrecher" in an article and hunted down the band's site. I am extremely glad I did! I love this album.

4 out of 5 stars Musical Detente.......2007-01-13

Proof in music that the people of the world are not so different. This album made me want to go see for myself.

5 out of 5 stars Great to Rock out to!.......2006-11-27

I first heard about this band after Amazon recommended them after I bought some stuff from Rammstein. I looked around the web, and then bought this CD after seeing the music video to "Schwarze Witwe." I really like the heart-pounding beats of such songs like "Willkommen Im Nicht" and "Angst?" but also like the slower tunes of "Frage,""Zeichen Der Venus," and "Mein Blut" for winding down after a tough day at work. And the best thing, like with most music from foreign bands, you don't have to learn the language to enjoy it. Music is one of those special things that breaks the language barrier. Alexx Wesslesky can do so much with his voice, and I hope him and Noel Pixx keep cranking out tunes for all of us to enjoy. Danke!!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!.......2007-06-22

I can't help it. I love it. This is by far one of the best remix albums I've ever heard. It's not as metal sounding as a full length Eisbrecher album, but the electronic/ebm mixes are done so well that I can't help myself but confess that it's a five star effort.

4 out of 5 stars Album is decent........2007-04-07

This is a good album. Has some decent club mixes on it. Nothing special.

I've been a fan of Alexx Wesselsky's work since the old days of Megaherz, and while I liked Eisbrecher's first release, I feared Eisbrecher was a gimmick that wouldn't last.

Now I can only hope this is a gimmick. Dual razor blades on the cover? Is this a joke? Now don't get me wrong, Leider and Vergissmeinnicht sound good--if you don't understand German. I like music that uses many emotions, but when the lyrical content consists of nothing more than being a depressed and self-loathing imbecile, I have to draw the line. I don't want to throw the popular derogatory term "emo" around, but that's pretty much what this single conveys; exaggerated sorrow, regret, and unhappiness. I thought pretty highly of Eisbrecher when it was a cold, electronic industrial band, but now with this peek into the new album, I don't know what to believe anymore. Maybe I should write a downtrodden song about it just to be totally hardcore.

As I already mentioned, far as the music goes, it's original and memorable. The sound of Eisbrecher is still unique and catchy, but lyrically... it is a train wreck. If you don't understand German, or if you don't mind the idea of someone passing cliché "dark poetry" off as lyrics, this isn't bad at all.

I hope I'm missing something here and this is all an elaborate joke to poke fun at depressing music. Even if that were the case, it's still pathetic.

5 out of 5 stars An appetizer that satifies .......2006-08-26

What a novel idea. Dancing Ferret Discs has taken off the gloves and given a special USA release for EISBRECHER, by combining the entire tracks of 2 Germany-only released singles into 1 double-Single for a reasonable price. You get 3 songs, 4 remixes, and 2 multimedia video tracks.

EISBRECHER is forging a promising musical path with their special blend of hard edged dance beats masterfully woven into stomping rock elements. The combination should appeal to fans of both traditional EBM, synth-pop, and industrial rock.

LEIDER and VERGISSMEINNICHT showcase the stellar vocal qualities of Alexx, as well as the synth and keyboard skills of Noel. This is a beautiful taste of what can be expected on the upcoming full-length album, and a fat first menu course with the 2 multimedia videos included.

It is rumoured that WIE TIEF may be a non-album track, making the acquisition of this double single an absolute must for fans. The liner notes may be confusing. In combining the information from the 2 German singles, it might appear that only VERGISSMEINNICHT will be appearing on the upcoming album. This is NOT the case. LEIDER will also be included on the upcoming album, and that information was inadvertently omitted when combining the liner notes of the 2 separate German single releases into the 1 double USA release. "Es tut mir leid...".

5 out of 5 stars This is a brillant album..............2003-09-06

I have loved her voice since the early 80's.....and thanks to Amazon I am finally getting the chance to get some of these great German albums of hers. Yes, she sings in German, but her music transends languages & nationalities......she has a universal sound and a great voice. Favorites are tracks 1,3,4 & 10. This album is awesome!

5 out of 5 stars SUPER CD!.......2003-02-02

When I first listened to this album - I was really surprised how much the Nena Band changed since Feuer & Flamme. At first, the songs were not familiar at all, but then after a few listening I realized that this is one of the best Nena Band album ever. The songs are filled with passion and emotions and the music itself is more live sounding instead of electronic.

I love this Cd. My favorite songs are: Engel Der Nacht, Mondsong, Zusammen and Eisbrecher. How true! "The Icebreaker does not break the heart, it only breaks the ice".

Great work Nena Band! ...

5 out of 5 stars One of her best !.......2002-09-16

Great album for Nena fans - In my opinion some of the best Nena songs I've heard since 99 RB. Very nice lyrics, some very deep emotional stuff as well. Don't know how I lasted without this album for this long.

5 out of 5 stars Nena Rocks!.......2002-02-28

Nena is one of the best Rockers of the 80's and 90's and long may continue to pump out her funky feel-good numbers that make you wanno dance whenever you listen .For those who think she is a one hit wonder ,think again. She is known in Germany for many fine albums and has come out with many more smashing rock pieces that just '99 Luftballons/99 Red Balloons
This is a fantastic work !My personal favourites are 'Engel der Nacht' ; 'Mondsong' ; 'Schon waer es Doch' ; 'Tokyo' ;'Sonnenaufgang'; 'Ring Frei ' and 'Zusammen'.But then I love the other three songs too !!:))

4 out of 5 stars The best new music is coming out of Germany........2003-06-30

"Mein Blut" is an amazing song. Dark, electronic, hypnotic, and even a bit balletic, "Mein Blut" had me hooked within seconds. The lyrics are in German, but worth every effort it takes to understand them, as they are poignant and provocative even in translation. Each remix offers an interesting spin on the song; the Pix Mix (Pix-Mischung) possessing more industrial elements, the Carlos Perón remix (Carlos Perón Neumischung) taking it to the dance floor. The best new music is coming out of Germany. I look forward to hearing more from Eisbrecher.

5 out of 5 stars Great Electro Trip-Rock!.......2003-06-26

When Alexx left his previous band, Megaherz, people were sad and didn't quite know what to expect from him and his new band. But, Eisbrecher has shown great promise with this release. The combination of Noel's driving music (also an Ex-Megaherz member) and Alexx's deep and emotional vocals is perfect. For German speakers, the subject matter is quite interesting as well. Definitely recommended!! I am looking forward to the full CD coming out in September 2003! :)

5 out of 5 stars Eisbrecher sind kalt!!!.......2003-06-25

Finally the arrival of Eisbrecher's "Mein Blut (MCD)". Being a fan of industrial/EBM/SynthPop I found that this album very, very acceptable. Although it only has the one song on it, the remixes provide enough variety for any EBM fan. Alexx and Noel have created a wonderful sound. The Carlos Perón Remix should be played in every Goth/Industrial/EBM club! I think if Eisbrecher keep this sound up they can make it very big in the EBM world. I recommend this to anyone that loves EBM/Industrial/SynthPop. Eisbrecher sind kalt!!!

2 out of 5 stars Only For Fanatics.......2005-06-18

Alright, 'Fanatica' is a decent enough track, 'Angst?' is mediocre, and the remixes are pointless and neither are as good as the original version. The cover art is quite kewl though. People who think this is EBM are diluded and have lived sheltered lives, but fans of Rammstein might enjoy this try-hard offering.

5 out of 5 stars Eisbrecher is here to stay!.......2004-02-25

I purchased this single because I wanted to hear the whole song "Angst?" Track2. I wasn't sure if I liked Eisbrecher or not but I knew I would like "Angst?" and when I receieved the single I found out I was right. What I didn't expect though was to find that the "Fanatica" would be so freaking good! I still love "Angst?" but heart goes out to "Fanatica." Noel Pix's talent and creativity really stick out in both of these songs, and how could you not love Alexx's voice? Both songs have a completely differant feel and sound from each other but both contain something special that sets an idea of the Eisbrecher sound. I'm not really into remixes, but both remixes of "Fanatica" are great. I suggest this CD to anyone collecting Eisbrecher.

5 out of 5 stars EBM that rocks!.......2003-10-11

This is the second single from the upcoming EISBRECHER album. It contains the title track, "Fanatica" + 2 remixes and the song "Angst". This single highlights two distinctly separate musical styles. "Fanatica" is an electronic synth-pop tune, focused on a good dance rhythm. The surprise with "Fanatica" is the catchy clever English text chorus; which is paired with the deep-voiced, German text, sprech-gesang style appearing in the rest of the song. The two remixes grind the beats to a moodier and heavier realm. "Angst" is a fast and pounding synth-hard-rock masterpiece. The text is 100% in German. The music is 100% m-e-t-a-l! This single is a good solid appetizer, heralding the anticipated arrival of the full-length CD from EISBRECHER in 2004. Bon appétit!
