Here we see more of his classics that show his genius. The standout songs are "my pussin" "take your meat out muh rice", "no more calypsong" a lovely social critique, "no melda" and "mama this is mass"

Overall you cant but help like this album

Lord Kitchner is one of the greats and everything on this CD is his own music. Sorry to say, I am a bit disappointed. In my opinion, one of the charms of calypso is that it is (for want of a better term) "music in the rough". Calypso accompanied by a studio orchestra is not, in my opinion, folk music anymore. It is merely a musical genre.

This is a *great* collection of Kitch's stuff. If you are a fan of The Master, you can't go wrong with this, or Vol 1.

The original recordings absolutely make this a collectors item.

This cd is the greatest instrumental steel drum music I have ever heard. There are no keyboards, it is pure steel music. Most other groups pollute their music with a lot of background instruments. Anyone who buys this cd will be well pleased. It does draw crowds when played, so be prepared to answer questions. Brightens up anyone's day.. :)

Nelson through out the decades have been the innovator, trailblazer of calypso music. To bad he's not given the credit for his often thought provoking, insightful and funky lyrics and grooves. When the time comes on this album is WONDERFUL!

There is no melody or rhythm here. It sounds like an introductory lesson in how to play steel drum.
