THIS ALBUM IS "THE [BEST]".......2002-03-01
is what my friends and I call it. It is one of the
few, perhaps the only album, that can make you
hallucinate. It is otherworldly and outlandish; it
creates the ultimate setting. It calms and soothes
your heart and brain after a night of intense ... partying. It is best listened to
in pre-dawn and dawn hours, lying down, while you're
in pretendo-sleep or can't sleep because your nose
is stuffed. This album makes it all better. On a
purely musical level it's all deep bass and bizarre
samples, creeping rhythm and Bill Laswell's usual
[GREAT] production.
One of the better Laswell projects.......2001-10-10
Essential 90s dub album.......1999-09-01

a lost album from (alas) a lost tribe.......2002-02-09
Justin Robertson's Lionrock Kick da Flavour remix of International Times features beeps and glisses snakily interweaving with bass curlicues, served up to a compelling rock-steady dancebeat. Later, TGU throws in elements from Protean plus some Gyoto Monk action in their Rasa Bliss remix, taken from Grotus' Opiate of the Masses EP. And all power to Youth's Isis Mix of Temple Head: spanning the generation gap between Killing Joke and TGU, chopping the original into rock-sized units, flanging to taste, and climaxing with those joyous close-encounter UFO-summoning samples "watch the skies - tell this to everybody where ever they are!"
