5 out of 5 stars Review #7.......2007-08-03

Great Remix Album. What a great version of "What's Going On." Kind of disappointed with "The Goonies" version. I thought it was going to be the extended version used in the music video. If you don't have any of Cindy Lauper's remixes I strongly recommend to buy this album.

5 out of 5 stars Yes, it's the best........2004-07-07

The CD which was only released in Japan contains remix versions of five classics of Cyndi Lauper, moreover, a live version of Money Changes Everything at the end of the album.
It is worth to keep one indeed.

5 out of 5 stars Cyndi's classic 80's 12" mixes on one package!!.......2003-12-21

This import was released in 1989 and it covers Cyndi's 12" singles from 1983-1987 (the cover being the same as the Change Of Heart 12"/7" cover). If you love this era of Cyndi, don't think twice, get it. It also has the extended live version of Money Changes Everything, which was used in the live video that MTV used to air.

Don't hesitate to get this package if you are a fan of Cyndi's 80's material and love 12" mixes.

3 out of 5 stars Japanese import worth having for fans.......2003-11-24

Although a dance mix of "Goonies 'R Good Enough" might sound like torture to some, it's very well done here and will delight Cyndi Lauper fans. The extended "Girls Just Wanna..." & the live "Money Changes Everything" are worth having, and "She Bop" gets a decent remix. Only the lackluster "Change of Heart" and the bland "What's Going On" stymie this package, which features one great photograph of Cyndi in all her late-'80's, cartoon-chic glory. B-

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely The Greatest Remixes.......2003-02-10

Ok this cd only has a few tracks on it..... 6 and I do not recommend spending the money on this cd for 6 songs. But if you have a gift certificate or something to knock down the price I definately recommend this album. The remixes are so cool. The extended Girls just wanna have fun is just that a long version of the song. As well as She Bop, The Goonies song and Change Of Heart. What's Going on is also an extended version and Money Changes Everything is a live version which can also be found on the new remastered version of her debut album She Is So Unusual with the 3 bonus tracks. So If you really want extended versions of these songs to play dj at the next eighties party you go to then definately get it.

3 out of 5 stars The Works? Not quite..........2002-08-26

As a fan of De La, I am always on the look-out for something new from Pos, Dove and Mase - be it remixes, soundtrack/compilation appearances, B-sides, or guest spots. I was rather excited when I saw this new disc of "their best remixes and special versions," and bought it immediately. But despite the presence of a few gems, it's mostly disappointing and probably not worth the high import pricetag.

The "Buddy" remix is an undisputed classic, and the remixes of "Ring, Ring, Ring" and "Jenifa" stand out as signature songs as well. I also enjoyed the mixes of "Say No Go" and "Keepin' The Faith," which pleasantly don't stray far from the excellent original versions. Most of what's left are either Euro-Techno style dance mixes (which I don't care for) or album versions (which are all good-to-excellent tracks but are curiously included on a remix cd). And while most of their discography is represented, there are no songs from the underrated "Buhloone Mind State" album included.

      5 out of 5 stars Excellent Club-Dance Music.......2004-03-10

These new mixes are great. They update the tracks without ruining the essence of the original. I love the remix version of "Love In C Minor" as much as the original. I also like "Heart of Me" with the dance diva bravado vocals of Laura Branigan among others. Try it.

      1 out of 5 stars re-mix-death.......1999-09-14

I can't believe what has been done to these songs in an attempt to pass them off to a younger audience as fresher stuff than the originals. David Morales has killed one of the greatest songs ever. You killed "Love in C Minor" you should have never touched the original-

5 out of 5 stars Cerrone Lives On as a Disco God.......1999-04-30

The genius of Cerrone speaks as loudly in the '90s as when his music was originally released! This artist's music has rarely received airplay, mostly due to his sometimes up to 15 minute creations of sheer Disco nirvana. Anyone who thinks that The BeeGees and KC & The Sunshine Band are purely representative of Disco, or that the music lacked depth, should most certainly not miss the opportunity to experience the genius of Cerrone. Timeless, sophisticated, and a must for any complete music library!

5 out of 5 stars Pure dance genius.......1998-06-12

This album is stonking. From the throbbing 'Give me love' to the crystal clear piano on 'Not sleeping tonight' not to mention the fab Erasure remix of 'Supernature'. Cerrone's music was way ahead of its time and still outshines most modern dance grooves. Wack it in the car and play LOUD! PS Thanks to Lin for buying this for me, I treasure it.

5 out of 5 stars I've been looking for this one for the longest........2007-05-26

I'm so glad to have finally gotten a hold of these remixes, particulary "Shake your body down to the ground". I couldn't find that remix anywhere. "Blame it on the boogie" was slammin' as well. I think the Jackson's made their best music during this time period. That's just me personally.

5 out of 5 stars Greatest music i have ever heard........2004-05-04

Yes,this is my personal opinion but this cd has some of the best music i have ever heard. The last track TORTURE is so good that it leaves me shaking with happiness.Amazing talent amazing group,i wish i could have more of there music especially from Japan.

      3 out of 5 stars Wow!.......2002-08-04

Jacksons are cool, but I swear "Torture" is the album version... well, there's "Blame It on the Boogie" that saves the day.

3 out of 5 stars Pretty Good but when is their gonna be a Best of?.......2000-08-24

The Jacksons had alot of great jams.just from Destiny&triumph alone not to mention classics like show you the way to go.this set is alright I Liked The Blame it on the Boogie remixe but I want a True Greatest Hits Compilations of this Group.the Mixes are so/so in spots.Heartbreak Hotel is still one of the baddest jAMS THAT Michael ever did.

      2 out of 5 stars Not what I expected.......2000-07-10

When I bought the CD I thought that it provided remixes for all the tracks listed. It turns out that it's only 2 of the six tracks. The other 4 are from the album version. The 2 that were remixed were "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)" and "Blame it on the Boogie." While "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)" was pretty good, "Blame it on the Boogie" is one of the best remixes out there.

      TITO'S "REMIXED" MESSAGE:

I compiled this CD exclusively for the DJ's and fans that have supported me and Latin dance music over the past ten years. Some of these tracks have never been commercially released and most of them have only been available on 12 inch vinyl. You have probably heard some of these versions in a nightclub or on a mix show. These Latin dance remixes of the original songs needed to be displayed in a timeless form. I wanted to give these versions a chance at hitting the CD players in your homes, cars and clubs. A few more years and these remixes would be extinct and forever be in some DJ's old school bin or some used vinyl store. I bring you these tracks with the intent for you the consumer, DJ or fan to jam to once again. I give you some of the best songs in their most danceable forms. I thank you for your love, respect, loyalty and dedication to Latin house music. I give you in return MY GREATEST CLUB REMIXES

Grand National don't play brittle guitar Pop. Instead, they rely on synths, loops and other modern electronic sounds to fashion their shiny commercial Pop topped off with sweet harmonies. As hinted at in the title, this disc is a collection of deleted hard-to-find back catalogue items. Includes an explosive remix by the Glimmers of the anthemic single 'Playing In The Distance' plus super rare cuts like 'Criminal' which was previously only available on Grand National's rare 2003 debut EP and much more.
