Gigi D'Agostino embodies the Italian "progressive house" sound: completely synthetic, Eurodisco-lite, and peppered with vocals filtered through a Vocoder. This stuff doesn't do so well in the U.S., but it's huge in Europe, where a track like this album's hit, "I'll Fly with You," can top the charts from Spain to the Czech Republic. Unabashedly pop, D'Agostino is probably pooh-poohed by experimental DJs--making him laugh all the way to the bank. He does share one thing with many of today's artier electronic producers: an obsession with the 1980s. A cover of Nik Kershaw's 1984 song "The Riddle" won't raise many eyebrows, but then there's the left-field instrumental "Rectangle," initially released by obscure French electro-pioneer Jacno in the early '80s. Wisely, D'Agostino more or less refrained from tarting up the song's elegant simplicity and tried his darnedest to preserve its hard-to-pin-down melancholia. Even more wisely, he actually uses it twice, first in a medley with "La Passion" and then in a straightforward cover. Can't get enough of a good thing. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

Even though ive heard this album previously, I bought it as a present for my father as he also had heard it but wanted the album as he thought it was excellent.

This CD is new to me. Purchased it to download in my IPod to work out to. Heard "I'll fly with you" on XM radio, and fell in love with it, I can play it over and over and not get sick of it (yet). A great techno cd to take your workouts up a notch!

Euro dance Smash.......2005-11-11

L'amour Toujours is an awesome album. "I'll Fly Away with You" is the track that got me hooked. It took me a while to find the song because Gigi isn't that popular, yet. I bought the album in 2001 when it came out, and still cannot get enough of it. The European dance is unique and capturing. My favorite tracks are "I'll fly away with You", "La Passion Medley with Rectangle", "L'amour", and "Rectangle." The vocals and beats run very smooth together to create a good, dance feel. Check out this album and dont pay attention to the negative reviews.

I'll keep my review brief. I love this CD. It is a 2 disc set that features mostly lyrical dance and techno music on one CD and non lyrical on the other. I'll Fly With You (L'Amour Toujours), The Riddle, The Way, La Passion, & Rectangle are some of my favorites from the CD. I honestly can listen to those 5 titles in endless loops and not get tired of them. Many a time have i wasted with the earphones or speakers cranked, and the lights low and just soaked in this audible pleasure. I've had my CD for nearly 3 years now, yet I'll Fly With You remains a favorite, to the point where I have started collecting remixes of it. The female vocales are so

The second CD has a few nice gems as well. I'm not sure if they all have the second CD, but look for it if you are into pure techno without the lyrics to get in the way of the beat. I do find that only 3 somgs of that second CD meet my regular rotation though. You'll love I'll fly with you and all the other beats this CD has to share.

Some have compared it to Eiffel 65, with less annoyance. I agree. There are similarities, heavy on Pop influence. The male vocal of I'll fly with you sounds very "popish" to me. I listen mainly to the ones I listed, but I like most of the tunes. Most of the others are heavier on pop influence, so i tend to only listen to them on occasion. The back button on my iPod gets hit more often than no though when I'll fly with you, Rectange, or La Passion play.

Check out this CD, you'll enjoy it.

Sweet cd.......2005-11-08

I discovered Trance, Electronica and Dance music through my bf, and this is a combination of all three.

The songs all have really catchy melodies , and are great for my iPod for long walks home, driving in a car or being high on your own supply, lol.

MY fave songs are: The Riddle - sounds medieval, with a great beat, its happy and makes me want to break down into a dance,

I'll fly with you- one of those kewl soongs you know you heard somewhere and didnt know what it is, and then bam you find it on this cd and you are so much happier for purchasing it, great tune.

Passion Medley and Another Way are one of those classic great to have in your collection songsfor a great time hanging out and listening to some really fun but cool music.

This stuff is not boring or repetitive and doesnt give me a headache. Its nice to listen to a cd and not Skip to the next song constantly.

Great cd to add your collection, perfect for a party or some good time!

A new GIGI.......2005-03-23

If you are a Gigi fan, you know he is multi faceted. One minute youre listening to a song that resembles something youd hear in a small cafe in Italy. The next minute youre hearing an up tempo trance tune, followed by a catchy two dimensional techno anthem. This is one of those albums. Listen to both discs fully and you will hear a wide array of music, mostly slow, melodic, tranquil, and inspiring. This is nothing like the first L'Amour Toujours. If you are expecting hard, fist pumping anthems such as La Passion, Ill Fly With You, and Another Way, youre in for a surprise. If Gigi has invaded your soul and you love the way his music flows like I, you will love this cd. Keep an open mind and relax your soul when listening to this one. -Doug

OOPS! Gigi Did It Again!!!.......2005-01-25

AWESOME, SUPER, and FANTASTIC! This CD is another way of showing Gigi's talents and expertise of being a music artist. I consider some of it a little softer than usual, but he still has some songs to dance to. Even the softer songs are great!! It is all very good and I highly recommend it to a Gigi D'Agostino fan.

I just bought this C.D. yestaurday and I've already listened to it 5 times (and its long when you listen to both cds with the average songs that are 6 minutes). I really love "Chansons for the heart"(cd1) I've listened to a lot of techno on burnt c.d.s, and I wa planning on making a c.d. with all my favourite songs on it after I figured out their names. Then as I listened to this c.d I was very excited to hear that all my favourite songs were on it. I did not enjoy "Beats for the feet"(cd2) as much because I couldn't sing along, but that might change once I listen to it while dancing with my boyfriends subs (its a mood thing). My favourite song is La Passion, because its a perfect love song, and it's well executed. I definately recommend this album. All the songs on cd one are excellent. I wish that more people in Canada liked this kind of music.

Not many people outside of Italy know who Gigi di'Agostino is. After hearing this, they will definately remember the name! Gigi puts up a great overall record here, with hits like "L'amour Toujours" and "La Passion" along with "Bla Bla Bla". The rest of the songs on this are great, and will leave listeners wanting more!

Pick this up if you like European/Italian pop/electronica. Or if you're a trance/techno freak like me, something a little different that will have you singing in the shower for weeks to come.

This album is classic Gigi. Many of his compliations (Il Grande Viaggio, Techno Fes 1 & 2, Journey, Il Programmino), though good for what they are, were somewhat of a disappointment because most of the tracks lacked the D'agostino sound. Not so on this album, which harkens back to the double-CD version of L'Amour Toujours. The first three tracks are particularly fantastic, but the whole album is really a joy to listen to.
Highly recommended.

This is a cool cd, I think Gigi D'Agostino is a really awesome music artist. I think L'Amour Toujours 1 and 2 are a lot better, but this one is worth keeping on the market, in the house, or in the car! I wish the USA would put out more of his music than "I'll fly with you." GEEZ. If they put more of his music out, he would be more popular here. Buy used if you arent sure!

I don't even remember how I stumbled across Gigi.. sometime in sophomore year of high school, it was. But this man is genius. He's amazing. If you love the whole techno/electronica scene, you will not be disappointed with him. Even if you don't know if you're that type... I don't go to clubs, and I typically like NIN and the like, but ... you just can't help but love this man's music :) Very quality ;) Very bouncy. Just let it infect you, it feels /so/ good ;)

Gigi siempre se ha mantenido ocupado........... antes de que Silence saliera a la venta ya circulaban los Ineditos.... y no hay que olvidar Il Programmino....... de hecho tampoco hay que olvidar Live At Altromondo Parte 1.........osea que Gigi nunca estuvo del todo desaparecido......... definitivamente desde la salida de Il Programmino se venia una avalancha de producciones y Silence EP es una de las mejores.........

You need a strait jacket to keep from moving... addicting! Upside, you get the sense GiGi REALLY enjoys and loves what he's doing and you will too. Downside to this CD, it's TOO SHORT! This is good stuff, another 'must have' GiGi album.

AWESOME CD.......2005-09-21

This is an awesome CD. Especially CD2. CD1 is OK. Must have. It is trancy, dancy, some song with vocals. Very uplifting. Must have. At first you might not like it, but listen to it over and over, and soon you'll get hooked especially on CD2. It is very trance but without the rough edges. The added vocals and the classical songs turned into trance/euro dance is clever. It makes trance music sounds so much better to the ear.

Well, I have no clue what the other person said, but I just got the CDs this week. I think its great. The songs are continuously mixed and well done. The new songs are awesome and are really mood changing. The "older" songs on the cd are slightly different from being continuously mixed and just to do something different. I like what he did with those songs and the newer songs that arent his are great too. Just awesome!! Either way, if you like Gigi D'Agostino now, this CD *WILL NOT* disappoint you. You will like this and get hooked on songs you havent heard before. Hear the CDs straight through first so you dont miss anything.
