About the Artist
Born in Aleppo, Syria. Aleppo is a traditional city that always kept its original music like " the Mouwashahat and the Koudoud halabia " ,and passed it from generation to generation. It is also known for its Tarab which is a style of " classical Arabic music ". To this day , singers and musicians from Aleppo still treasure the classical Arabic music and keep it alive. Aleppo has many great talents and famous singers like Sabah Fakhry, Mouhamad Khairy,Ali Aldarwish and Bakry Kurdi. Yousef Shamoun was inspired by music since childhood, and influenced by the classical Arabic music of Aleppo. He performed in several Middle Eastern countries around the world and achieved high standard in music in a very little short time. Youssef Participated in many events and concerts and is well received by his audience as a promising talent. yousef Was hosted on many television programs and popular channels such as the A.R.T( Arabic Radio Television ). And many radio channels like the Syrian FM and the popular Lebanese station " Radio Strike" Performed in many weddings, parties and clubs throughout the United States, Canada and the Middle East. Yousef graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey in December of 2004 and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. At the time been , Youssef is currently living in New Jersey, USA and performing at Club Aladdin.
