Brilliant and Very Cool, Better than Ramazzotti.......1998-11-21

There's no point trying to compare Pino Daniele to modern American rock artists. He, is more accurately, the most gifted heir of the four hundred year tradition of the neapolitan song (think Marechiaro, O Sole Mio, Torna a Surriento..). This tradition is manifested in his brilliant hummable meoldies, adventurous guitar playing, and knowing social commentaries. If you love Italy and especially Napoli, like I do, you should buy this CD or any of the others. This particular CD is among Pino's best. The song "Che Male Ce" is an instant classic. The only song that does not work at all is "Desert in my Head" which features an insane Michael Jackson impersonator on the lead vocal. Also check out his prior album "Non Calpestare un Fiore nel Deserto" or any of his many compilations. Best songs ever "Saglie Saglie" & "Napule E."
