Memories of Paris and beautiful songs by Gerard Lenorman.......2001-09-07

While having dinner on my first nite in Paris recently, I heard a beautiful voice singing words I did not really understand, but somehow felt connected. After asking the proprietor if he knew the name of the song, we were told it was one by Gerard Lenorman. The song, Il, was so beautiful, it stayed with me the whole time I was in Paris and a friend bought it for me at a lovely shop on the Champs Elysees. Returning home I had a chance to listen to the other songs on the album and they are all quite wonderful. Another favorite is La Petite Valse, one that paints a picture of ladies in beautiful gowns dancing with handsome men in the grand ballroom of a picturesque castle. I can't wait to buy another or his albums.
