This album is my tribute to a culture that descends from the ancient civilizations of the great past - worlds that have gone and will never return to be experienced again. To capture the most elusive texture of the old times; to breath a new air into those forgotten modes; to resurrect the lost reality of the beautiful and mysterious tales . . . Is it possible? I have tried to capture the quintessence of the old Persian spirit, as I see it, by means of sound and rhythm - a spirit that is inspired by the beauty of its diversified landscape; nurtured by the great epics and sweet love stories expressed by generations of famous Persian poets; a spirit that in its core calls to be shared. Soul of music, as I believe, is common to all nations. It is the single thing that can ascend and rise beyond all borders and boundaries of human lives. My most sincere hope is to be able to share the beauty of the Persian soul with my own people and those to whom this culture is! not a native.
