Global Shift is a new project by producer/composer/performer Steven Last. Based in Los Angeles, CA, since 1996 he recorded all tracks by himself in his studio in Venice Beach, where he has been working with other projects as a recording artist for Miles Copeland's Ark 21/Universal Music label. He is the creator of the "Galactic Caravan" album series and is one of the composers of Miles Copeland's critically acclaimed "Bellydance Superstars" show, which is currently touring Europe and the U.S. The Global Shift project is aimed at building musical bridges between cultures that are worlds apart and finds its roots in Turkish, Middle Eastern, African, Gypsy, Latin, Hip Hop, Rock, Electronica, and Belly Dance origins.
