First Triumph for the Guys from Denver!.......2003-04-12

The Colorado Dark Arts Collective presented this most excellent festival on May 18th, 2002. The official album represents the sound and feel of the festival with grat accuracy, and proves definitively that Denver is where it's at. Each track is from an up-and-coming artist in Denver, CO, and each shows poise and professionalism. An excellent CD to check out if you're new to the Goth/Industrial scene, or if you just want to see what Goth/Industrial sounds like in CO. Give it a listen, I promise you'll be hooked! The album as a whole sets a dark mood, with high points of joy and low points of desperation and loss. It is analogous with the entire human experience. Excellent rainy-day music.

The only acoustic musical instrument invented in the 20th century the steelband (not steel drum!) was invented in the 1940s on the island of Trinidad. This CD brings out the more symphonic capabilities of our homegrown contribution to the musical world. Performed by Pamberi Steel Orchestra, one of the most promising and innovative bands coming out of Trinidad, the CD includes selections from Beethoven, Rossini, Orff as well as various pieces specifically composed for national competitions.
