Her CD's are hard to find outside Greece.......2007-03-28

Typically Margarita has released around 20 CD's Her recording career started around 1975 when she was still a teenager .
Several of her original LP's have now been remastered for CD by Minos-EMI and Lyra in Greece. I was especially happy to discover this whilst looking at Studio 52 on-line music store.
Although her voice has matured over the years it still has that unique tremelo quality that was noticed by Mikis Theodorakis.Try to get hold of
"BALANTES" i first heard this on Vinyl and it made a lasting impression.
The "12 ROUSIKA LAIKA TRAGOUDIA" (12 Russian Songs) were also one of my favourites .This made it to CD but sadly it has now been deleted. I am hoping Minos-EMI will re-issue it under their Masters series.There is a lot more i could write about this wonderful singer,but please look at the Margarita Zorbala website and discover more, you will not regret it if you love this genre of music.

I loved this CD. The artist shows a wide range of expressivity. The music and her voice are beautiful. She sings not only in Greek, but also in Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. The performance is very sensitive. Wide range of musical styles and rhythms keep the entire CD interesting. It is musically as well as intellectually stimulating.
