Full Title - Break Of Dawn/Mirror Of The World. Firefall was a soft country-rock group formed in Boulder, Colorado in the mid-70's. They had numerous high charting albums throughout their career. Break Of Dawn hit the charts in 1983. This album along with Mirror Of The World are making their worldwide CD debuts on this two-on-one disc. Wounded Bird. 2004.

Not THE Firefall.......2007-01-04

This is not the country rock band version of Firefall but a pop band. Rick Roberts and Larry Burnett were the creative forces in the original lineup. Larry is not on this album and Rick provides backup vocals. Disposable pop music. Not worth buying.

good music, but not Firefall.......2005-10-24

If I had heard this disc under some other group name, I would thought it was well done and a sound that I quite like. Under the Firefall moniker however, it was a little disappointing.

Had I not seen the cover, I might have guessed that Steve Perry was now the lead singer for the Little River Band. Not a terrible concept, but not what I was expecting.

This import from Japan is an awesome follow up to True & Livin. It follows the path of Mind Over Matter more or less, but is still a stellar release from the Oakland Crew. If your into Zion, youll love this.

DAI.......2005-04-04

I'm actually a veteran to Japanese music, being of such heritage myself, and having three older sisters who are positively obsessed with the more mainstream groups. (Hamasaki Ayumi, L'arc en Ciel, Gackt, ect)

Not to say that DAI isn't mainstream, but they have a sound... and Van Tomiko a voice quality, that's a bit richer and a lot less stereotypical than the usual high-pitched pop princesses of the day, both here in the states and overseas.

Also, if you like this album, I recommend music by Utada Hikaru and Kaijura Yuki as well.

I really enjoy Break of Dawn. I love Do as Infinity's work, and they kept me loving their songs even more when I got this lovely Xmas gift.
My favorites are Another and Heart. Oasis is nice too. But they did have ONE (just one) track I couldn't stand, and that was Painful, but I don't like rap, so I wouldn't like it even if it was in English.
Anyways, 5 stars, great album, I'd recommend to any JPop fan, especially those who like Inuyasha music (D.A.I does some of their music)

Do As Infinity.......2003-08-06

Do As Infinity has got to be one of the best bands period! After I heard their song "Fukai Mori" (Deep Forest) from my favorite Anime, Inuyasha, I decided to find out a bit more about Do As Infinity and get one of their c.d.s. I decided to get "Break of Dawn" and I think it's fantastic! Sometimes I wonder why not that many Americans appreciate this type of music. I really don't think it matters whether you can understand Japanese or not because you'll love this c.d. either way! If you like J-pop, then I really think you should get this c.d.

Uzumaki!.......2003-05-27

After looking into a Japanese film called "Uzumaki" I saw a promo video for a song called "Raven" from Do as Infinity that was in the movie. The song blew me away and every since I have been hooked on Do as Infinity.

I own each album they have put out but Break of Dawn is my favorite because it was the first one I bought. Van Tomiko is my favorite singer right now period. If you are new to Japanese music I think Do As Infinity is a great place to start and if you are not sure which album I think this is a good cd to start out with. If I could give it 6 stars I would:)

This is definately one of the greatest CD's on the market. The techniques used are totally different from what you normally hear, and I also agree, that once you hear this CD, you never want to let it go. It's fabulous!

I purchased this cd over a month ago and have been enjoying it ever since. Larry LaVey has a musical style that most new artists lack. This is definitely a must have cd for anyone that enjoys great music. I have recommended this cd to all my friends.

This 6 song recording is the first CD effort by this hardcore/metal band from Rochester, NY. It challenges the listener, on occasion, with off-time, technical riffs and also soothes with nice harmonies. Not for the faint, the vocals are shredding and brutal. I would say that the musicianship is rivaled by the deft lyrical content, both working together to create something more buoyant than just metal but also more progressive than hardcore.

For fans of Ire, Botch, Catharsis, Endeavor, Deadguy, etc.
