This album is really the number two album from this trio. It is very good and well worth the investment. The five star album by The Irish Tenors would have to be Heritage. Both albums rate high in my book.

This is my first CD of the Irish Tenors. And what a joy! I played it as soon as it arrived. I like the blend of their voices,the passion and enthusiasm they bring to this CD. What I find is a real treat is the words to all the songs are in the booklet.I love this CD.

This recording is wonderful. Ronan's "last Rose of summer" is unique, the Percy French medley shows all three in great voice, Finbar's Maggie is wonderful and the laurels have to go to Anthony for his magnificent rendition of "She moved through the fair", wow!!!!

Great selection of music, and well presented. This is however older recordings that do not match the quality of Rutter's latest recordings such as the Te Deum or the Gloria.

If I were to choose only one Christmas album to ever own, this would be the one. John Rutter is an exceptional composer of religious music, with unusual harmonies. The music is difficult to sing, and because this is his own choir and he is directing it, the performance is flawless. Gives you goosebumps.

Accurate reflection of pub songs.......2007-03-23

We enjoyed the fact that this CD follows the tradition of pub songs and ballads. My husband and I surprisingly liked the ballads as much or more than the pub songs. Only 1 song has tonal quality because the singer forgot the words and the backup musicians don't come through strong enough; but that actually adds character to it since you know it is not being performed in a sterile recording booth somewhere. Enjoyed it!

Irish Music at it's Best.......2007-04-05

If you likeIrish music, you'll love this CD. I first purchased it at a Cahal Dunne concert I attended several years ago. I wanted to share it with a friend so gave it to them and purchased a second copy for myself. I couldn't imagine note having it in my collection because there are so many songs on it that touch me and stir memories of singing around the piano with my grandmother on Sunday afternoons. It's one of the best!!!

A new type of Celtic rock.......2004-05-30

This cd is a great collection of ecletic tracks from excellent artists with a variety of themes. All are done in rhythms that have at least your head bopping and foot tapping, and usually give you an incredible desire to stand up and dance.

What a find!.......2003-02-18

I have a huge CD collection and this is one of my favourites of all time. This is one of the best obscure CDs of all time. Every song is a masterpiece, often mixing contemporary styles with traditional Irish ones. You will be shaking your head as I do and saying "why are they people not famous!". Most of it has a soft-rock feel, but not in the pejorative sense. It was great to find 6 new artists that I'm now a fan of.

The melodies on Collection may be ancient but this is the sound of a revolution. A Fine Traditional Irish Album.......2001-03-05

I have been looking for a long time for a Irish album like this one. This is a collection of many traditional airs, reels, and slides that are performed very well. I heard many of these tracks when I visited Ireland a couple of years ago.
