About the Artist
Born in Idaho, raised in Utah and Arizona, Bird was never told much of his Native American heritage. He grew up as part of a hard working, middle-class family and out of respect and love for his parents, he never asked nor felt it important to know his origins. However, in 2000, Bird produced his first Native American-inspired album and launched Singing Wolf Records, which sent him on a personal journey to find out more about this heritage. It was in the summer of 2002 that Bird discovered a link to his very small tribe in Southern Utah. This discovery has greatly affected Bird's life and those around him; and the influence on his musical career has been significant. Over the years, Bird has come up through the ranks of the music industry as a musician, performer, songwriter, recording engineer, record producer, and recording artist. Bird is an accomplished musician on violin/fiddle, mandolin and guitar. His recordings feature contemporary instrumentals along with! traditional Native American and Celtic percussions, music and rhythms. The result is a unique blending of the Native American and European worlds that he was raised in.
Product Description
A lively collection of Scottish and Irish melodies passed down for centuries. Some of the tunes are a whimsical fantasy of play while others are a sad reminder of troubled times. Bird is just the musician to manipulate the emotions with his fiddle and fine arrangements using, among others, traditional instruments - penny whistle, flute, bodhran, button accordion and uilleann pipes.
