Stare Dobre Malzenstwo have been around awhile with at least eight albums of their unique style of tender folk music. Czarny Blues is their all-time bestselling release, filled with cozy, melancholy songs made from guitar, violin, bass, and occasional harmonica. "Przechyla Sie" (that's "pshehiwa sheh") is a lovely, brief number featuring this combo's light, nimble touch and comely harmonies. "Zawirowat Swiat" is a sweet, lilting tune with pastoral highlights and beautiful female background vocals, while "Wygladaja Przez Okno" haunts with an aching violin and descending vocal pattern. And it literally is! Stare Dobre puts poems by a few different polish poets to music. I would call it folk as it has an accoustic guitar sound.

My favorite polish band and one of my favorite overall. Czarny Blues O Czwartej Nad Ranem is one of the best ballads I have ever heard. I recommend this song heartily. Please give it a shot.

Beautiful music.......2001-04-29

Stare dobre malzenstwo is a fantastic group. They put poetry from different authors to music. More of a folk group with an accoustic guitar sound.

I heartily recommend their music. O Czwartej Nad Ranem is one of the best ballads I have ever heard. If it were translated into english I bet it could sell really well too.

Stare Dobre is the best polish group I have ever heard and I can only hope that Amazon finds more of their cds.
