Fabulous musique!.......2003-05-06

Ok, so there's A LOT of tambourine on this album - that's the bad news. The good news is, there's almost NO accordian. But seriously, anyone interested in rap, linguistic diversity, garlic, pastis, politics, Phrench Philology, and, yes, cool music, will LOVE this album.

It's about these two guys from Toulouse who beat out a hyper-rhythmical bed over which they rap (in French, of course) and squeak, pop, hiss, boom, and produce 1000s of other sounds. It helps if you speak French, but I've played this one to lots of people who don't, and the verdict has been unanimous - IT'S COOL!!!

The liner notes are a bit sketchy - you only get lyrics to about half of the songs, and there are (if you want to get nit-picky) about 3-4 numbers that are "filler" in my opinion. But overall, this is a very cool CD and well worth having.
