About the Artist
Anthony began playing guitar at age 9. He spent much time with his grandmother, who owned a restaurant/bar on the waterfront in San Pedro, where he would hear various performers. At age 15, he began to study the standard classical guitar repertoire and to compose his own works. Soon he was playing master classes with George Sakellario, Julian Bream, Pepe and Angel Romero, and flamenco guitarist Mario Esquedero.

I became an Anthony Arizaga fan after purchasing south of the border. I have also purchased several of his other cd's. I recently purchased this one. Initially I was disappointed that it had vocals, since I was so taken with south of the border. However this ranks as my second favorite cd that this great artist has made. I highly recommend it after South of The Border.

Viva La Guitarra.......2002-09-17

This is the best guitar CD I have ever heard. I bought this CD on a vacation to San Diego, and like it so much I want to purchase more of Anthony's music.

Too much vocal........2002-02-01

I guess the album is O.K., but I was expecting all instrumental like "South of the Border so I was very disappointed that it was mostly vocal. My fault for not reading all the info. about this CD before ordering . I'll know better next time!

Even the Angels STOP to listen.......2005-11-07

K. Vehkavaara's does play games...he plays music that makes you want to dance. Sit down with a Sangria, close your eyes, hit "PLAY" and you will soon be transported to Spain. The only thing missing were the dancers.
