This is the French version of an album released around 1980 that was stunning. It had great political comment and was delivered with great gusto if not melodically by the singer.Unfortunately unless you speak French this will be lost on you with this version and I suspect that the original lyrics were written as English as it doesn't seem to flow as well. The music is largely the same but with a few horns added in here and there and the song order is changed with Sect(The Jim Jones cult massacre comment) closing the album.The music style is often like early AC\DC and Bon Scott is pictured in the sleeve to which the album was dedicated.

The confirmation! TRUST pushes further the limits already established with their first LP, and nobody is laughing anymore...

Now we have to take into account these young people who don't hesitate to provoke and to give their opinions with noise.
And they will take advantage of this position to cross the borders and to share their music with the world in releasing an English version of this LP.
Radio and TV show more and more interest in them and these ones will make a popular hymn of "Antisocial".
It's right that the ones who discredited TRUST in 1979 now flatter them. What a great step made in only one year. The sound is more elaborated, the songs are still engaged and the band shoot at all the issues, in particular with "M.Comedy", "Pick Me Up, Put Me Down", "Sects"...

And they also use an extract of Jacques MESRINE's book, in order to write "Le Mitard" ( Jacques MESRINE was the French public enemy n°1 at this moment ).
They begin to be censorship's victims because they disturb during President GISCARD's years.
From this LP, the following tracks will remain in the fans memory : "M.Comedy", "Paris Is Still Burning", "Le Mitard", "Death Instinct" and.......of course "Antisocial".

Le titre éponyme est un étendard international qui convient si bien à combattre Chirac que les décrépitudes mitterrandiennes pour lesquelles ce titre n'a sans doute pas été écrit.

Love Songs of the Tropics t effort, singular, homespun and homegrown (yes,THAT kinda homegrown).

'AC's vocal delivery is reminiscent of a lower-registered Bowie or Lennon, sung in a scruffy, fuzzy and loose (but not sloppy) way. His perceptions project a certain "stoner certified attitude" which propel the various lyrics in engaging,witty and socially sharp observations of Living in general...and life in southern California specifically (the locals will make the references anyway).

The music has all kinds of twists and turns in it making it interesting throughout. Seven of the 13 tracks are preformed with his band (drums,bass,lead guitar), the remaining 6 has AC doing all the wizardry including some sophisticated electronics. These "solo" tracks are the the most idiosyncratic and "psyched".

As I stated earlier, this is VERY accessable 'Underground' music by an artist with a singular vision that FEELS good, complete, and easy-going. It is not hyped, obtuse, contrived or high-brow genius.

Abraham Cloud's music has a rocking groove throughout, and still manages to include threads of folk, pop, and even chamber music. Never pretentious or "obscured by cloud"...it's the perfect bong-load. Just right.

The feelings I get listening to this Cd is John Lennon if he had lived and went through another very creative period.Its very entertaining and story oriented, and each song is its own little "trip."

Amazing vocals, sweet melodies, and chatchy hooks make this album a must have. Funky guitar parts mixed with outstanding rythems create one of the best albums i have heard for a while, and worth much more than the price of a coffee.

This is a great CD. I have listned to it many times now and I love listening to it every time. I must say that my favourite songs are Why, Lady Sweet Talk, Repression, and Summer Cafe. STRONG VOCALS AND CREATIVE GUITAR.......2000-08-17

Tyler is a very gifted, talented musician that should have no problem hitting it big. His strong lyrics, and dynamic vocals make his CD a pleasure to listen to. My favorite tracks are "Why", and "Repression". "Why" has alot of movement, which takes you through various scenes. "Repression", starts out, and keeps building, and building, and building. The guitar solo in the middle of the song is U2ish. I feel this CD is a must for anybodys music collection.
