She started her career in 1978 singing jingles for commercials and songs in several pubs. She recorded with Mercedes Sosa and went on stage with renowned artists such as León Gieco, Víctor Heredia, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Charly García, Víctor Manuel, Alejandro Lerner, and Rubén Rada, among many others. She was cast in musicals and sang TV shows and movie songs.
She co-recorded Alejandro Dolina's operetta Lo que me costó el amor de Laura with other famous artists, and also María de Buenos Aires, Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer's operetta recorded in Austria in 1997. This work won a Grammy Award nomination for Best Opera Recording. Almost immediately, musician Yo-Yo-Ma invited her to sing in a string of concerts in different cities in Japan. Soon afterwards, she recorded Julia de Buenos Aires, dedicated to Piazzolla, for which she was nominated in 1998 to the Carlos Gardel award for Best Tango Performer.
She has won several national and international awards, including the ACE, Prensario, Festibuga and Konex awards. In 2000 she performed in Uruguay, Poland, the United States, Austria, France, Italy, and Israel.
