Roots music.......2003-05-06

This album was recommended to me during a recent stay in Australia. The aboriginal people are experiencing a cultural revival similar to the First People of the Pacific Northwest, through their arts. There are a growing number of bands who incorporate traditional and modern instruments to create unique contemporary music, but I wanted to start with something traditional. This was it. Ash Dargan of the Larrikia Tribe uses didjeridu, wooden flutes, percussion and voice to produce a varied tapestry of mindbending songs. It's great music to work to, as well.
