About the Artist
Lei Qiang (pronounced lay-chang) was born in Shaanxi Province, Peoples' Republic of China. He studied the erhu at the prestigious Conservatory of Xian. Lei Qiang toured for 11 years with the Shaanxi Provincial Song and Dance Troupe. His travels took him to every major city in China including Hong Kong and Japan. In 1993 he emigrated to Canada and recorded with the Cirque du Soliel on the Quidam album and on the new Cirque du Soleil entitled O. He is currently performing with the Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas.

I didn't think it was possible to top Chinese Traditional Erhu Volume 1 but this cd does. This music is good for the soul!

Great Recording A Classic.......2002-01-12

I saw Lei Qiang perform at the Gathering of Nations in Albuquerque a few years back. He is awesome. This CD is excellent. I play this CD all the time. It soothes my day.
