Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars The Cure for Vineyard/Hosanna-Integrity Blues.......2004-08-27

The Notre Dame Folk Choir, founded in 1980 by Steven Warner, is one of the highest of the high water marks in contemporary liturgical music. Fans of praise and worship music know that, while sometimes assisting devotion and prayer, the productions of Hosanna/Integrity and Vineyard often include two or three theologically irresponsible and/or sentimentally banal tunes for every useful tune.

There is no such heterodoxy or schmaltz in this collection, but a liturgically sensitive, theologically wise, and culturally cosmopolitan collection performed live by students at the University of Notre Dame.

Although Roman Catholics have been aware of Warner as a liturgical resource for a few years now, worshippers in the Reformed and Presbyterian church that I pastor have warm regard for these beautiful and singable tunes. Auditors will enjoy this CD all by itself. Church musicians and pastors can order the sheet music from the WLP website.

5 out of 5 stars A great CD!.......2001-05-02

The Notre Dame Folk Choir really knows how to worship God in a way that inspires others to do the same. What an incredible ministry they serve. I was fortunate enough to see them in concert, and they blew me away. God bless this wonderful ensemble. Beautiful music and beautiful prayer.

5 out of 5 stars a joy to have.......2000-05-19

I recently purchased this CD and have been listening to it constantly while driving. Whenever your spirit is in need of realignment or you just want to be closer to Christ, plug this thing in and prepare to receive. A beautiful work.

5 out of 5 stars The Notre Dame Folk Choir does it again!.......1999-12-14

Continuing the progress that they had shown on their 1996 release, Prophets of Joy, The Notre Dame Folk Choir brings out another top quality CD with The Seven Signs. The Choir has never sounded better, and this CD contains some of Steve's best compositions such as, All Will Be Well, and Set Your Hesrt on the Higher Gifts. The Notre Dame Folk Choir is a real treat to see in concert as well. A perfect blend of traditional chant-style vocalizing with acoustic instruments and percussion. Highly recommended listening. A perfect CD for the parish music director looking to introduce new pieces for the sacraments.
