Fusebox started as Rebecca St. James back up band. So I guess that gives someone the right to make a record. This record is a good demo at best. I can't see why anyone would pay good money for this, you need to be paid to have to be able to listen to this disaster

Great CD!.......2003-11-18

I havent heard of this band until I saw them live at Youth2003 in Tennessee. I thought they were great live and they are great on this cd. They bring a great message backed by powerful riffs and moving lyrics. What can I say more?

A CD for everyone! Even if you aren't a fan of Christian Rock you will enjoy this CD and may easily become a fan. This is an extremely talented group. After hearing their new material at a recent concert, I am certain Fusebox has an exciting future ahead of them.

Great music for the gospel scene.......2002-10-14

For a long time I thought Christian music was a joke, but I heard Fusebox in concert and bought this CD - it's made me change my mind. It has the best arrangement of "Every Move I Make" that I've heard yet, and it has some great new songs too, like their title song "Lost in Worship". The musical style is pop/rock, ranging from soft and subtle to quick-moving pop to rock with an edge. A very good Christian CD, especially considering it's Fusebox's first record. Get your hands on a sound clip and check it out.

Amazing.......2002-09-05

I bought this CD based loosely on some samples and a recommendation, not really expecting much, but it is now one of my favorites. If you like contemporary praise music with a modern beat, this is the CD for you. Excellent vocals (with some help from Rebecca St. James) drive this freshman effort, and I cannot wait for their next CD. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Whoever wrote the review of this album on June 5th is a kindred spirit. This is one of the most brilliant albums I've ever heard, and Lake Alaska is evocative and romantic; his mention of fluorescent blue forces synesthesia and I am all the better for it. Radio Fusebox is both complement and companion: it reminds you of your heartbeat.

With the success of his latest album, Andy Stochansky found himself a little pocket of fame to enjoy. Sure, 5 star hotel was a good album and all, but it lacked all the things that made me fall in love with Radio Fusebox when i bought it almost 4 years ago. And for the record, it's still one of my most-often-listened-to albums.
Still sitting firmly behind his mirade of percussion instruments, Stochansky found something unique and breathtaking in this album. Lake Alaska 4am is, to this day, one of my favorite tracks to mellow out to. Poem for a Small Boy prompted me to run out and buy a Calimba. All in all, the work was inspiring.
True, it does tend to hit off-notes from time to time; notable occurances include the last track, which, while good on its own, hits you like a big ol' brick from the great blue beyond.
All said and done, this is still a great disc, and i would recommend it to anyone looking for something with good lasting power.

Breathy, Bare and Beautiful.......2003-07-06

Radio Fusebox is the second album from former Ani Difranco Drummer and Toronto native Andy Stochansky. As expected we find percussion to be a strong part of this album. On tracks "fly" and "Song for You" the drumming is the primary instrument, allowing Stochansky to use his breathy vocals (His voice can be compared to a cross between Jeff Buckley and Thom Yorke) to achieve sparse but forward moving arrangements. Stochansky's writing is thin but not empty leaving the entire album bare and ambient yet rich and textured. On "Arrest" Stochansky lays a track of radio nose and an electronic drumbeat, over which he plays a simple piano line and sings. Stochansky works with the bare minimum but pulls it off almost flawlessly. "Lake Alaska 4:00 am" and "Talk Show" are peak moments on the album, and the outro on the latter track has a jazzy horn section that part of an inspired arrangement. The only track that seems to fall flat is the last track "She sang." It is a little too poppy for the rest of the album, and does not carry the same depth as the confessional feel of the other tracks. Overall, this is an impressive album, much deserving of respect.

Dance Music Authority, indeed. The only weak track is Vengaboy's lowkey early tune, but after that, the CD rolls through quickly of some of the tightest dance tunes ever. The SAIFAM artists really shine on this cd, with "Beautiful Man" by Radiorama being easily one of the finest dance songs I've ever heard. The CD would have been even better if the songs were slushed together in a constant mix, but hey..its perfect for doing pretty much anything. Pop this in, skip the Vengaboys track and get ready to move.

I LOVE IT FROM BEGINNING TO END, IT HAS SOME FAST PACED WORK OUT MUSIC WITH JUST THE RIGHT SOUND. AT FIRST I DID NOT RECOGNISE HARDLY ANY NAMES SO I THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA SUCK BUT I WAS DEFINATELY WRONG. THIS IS SOMETHING YOU BLAST ON THE RADIO.

Great Disc good song choices.......2007-01-19

As a big fan of Freestly music this discs totally rocks. A good mixture of newer and older Freestyle music. Only thing is that the DJ mixing this disc is not anywhere near as good as the one that mixed Vol 1 and 2. Vol 1 and 2 actually sounded more like a mix. This one basically is songs attached to one another. However, you listen to a disc for the songs anyway so who cares. As long as the songs are good I'd buy it.

Explosive freestyle compilation.......2002-06-03

You will not stop dancing to this CD -- many of the songs, like "Scars of Love", which has a distinct late-80's/early 90's feel to it (a golden age of freestyle) with a very modern twist to it. Other great ones include Rosalinda's "Give Me All Your Love", whom isn't signed with a major label, but was extremely hot a couple of summers ago here in the south where Latin freestyle is hotter than Houston in the middle of August. Also includes Robin's "I See Starz", a very trance-like track I've loved for so long but never knew who the #&%@ sung it! I love just about every song on here and if you are a freestyle fan I guarantee you will love it too!

i have all the previous DMA collections n so far this one is just as great as the rest of them.. i especially like #19 "I MUST GO ON" is a song not with a great composer but lyrics too. this is a CD i will always bump. who wouldn't.

Hi,

DMA does it again with a solid outing. If you're a HINRG/Euro dance fan, you'll fine much to like about the album. My personal favorites are songs #1-4 (From Europe or Canada) and #10-11 (USA). :)

Another great DMA series CD.......1999-04-26

As a DJ in Atlanta, GA, this is one of my "must have" CDs. The DMA series 1-3 CDs are by far the best I have, and this one adds to those! A great CD for beginers, DJs, or just club kids!
