OK...I don't Speak Italian, but who cares when a nice sound like Gianluca's voice is in the air...I love " Speciale"and his spanish version "ESPECIAL"...this cd is great even if you aren't sure what is singing.A few singers have a voice so soft, warm and personal... I have his first cd "Destinazione Paradiso" ( or "DESTINO PARAISO" the spanish version)and is excellent too...but this one is even better. Go, grignani, go on and stay Sitting in a cloud, dude.

THE best songwriter in Italy.......2004-03-04

This CD is already 3 years old, but it is his best one in my opinion. I have listened to this CD about 500 times in 3 years. My favorite song changes every week because they are all good songs. What amazes me is that he wrote every song. Each song is unique in instrumentation, but violins, soft organs, and acoustic guitar are prominent throughout. Pay close attention to the drums, how subtle they are, yet they stand out with some great cymbal work. Listen to the bassist. He's got to be one of the best around. The bass line itself is melodic, not just boring 8th notes or predictable patterns. Gianluca uses one voice. Only 2 of his songs use vocal harmony. He doesn't need it. This is my favorite Italian CD, and i have over 100. Listen to it, and you will agree that no one sounds like him, especially not in the U.S.

gianluca grignani is a definate must have in any cd collection!!! He is one hot guy with one hot voice! he's got a smooth sound that can calm any one down. my personal favorite is speciale!! its hot in italy right now so you should have it too!!!!!!!!
