I don't speak Portuguese but the music speaks for itself...funky, hip-hop, rap with some Brazilian flavor.
I usually don't listen to this style of music but this cd is irresistible-in the car, at a party, the beach...

I'm from Brazil and I've listened to all his albums. The other ones are a lot better, specially "Ainda é só o começo". I really like this one because the lyrics are great and it's got very good beats. Check it out!

The birth of another great brazilian artist.......2003-07-30

This album was originally launched in 1993, and was confiscated from stores, because of the famous ' Hoje eu tô feliz matei o presidente', the music in which the artist alegorically kills the President. Gabriel o Pensador is an extraordinary rapper and lyricist, and his lyrics are the reflex of the brazilian reality. The artist uses a lot of typical brazilian instruments and music styles, combined with well-known samples.
A must have.
