Lotsa people on stage can work really well (ie Sigur Ros, Spiritualized and the Arcade Fire) but it's not working when I saw you in KY it was sloppy.
The only salvation is that the simplicity of this album carries through.

Amber's voice echoes Rachel's in Mojave 3 & now that I think of it Nathan's is too similar to Neil Halstead's.

Ever wonder what would happen if the Refused didn't break up and they continued as a band and got more metal? Ever wonder what one of the purest metal sounding bands would sound like today? Mixing in some punk and traditional hardcore, this CD is mainly a barrage of metal. The lyrics are all there too, with the right messages and not what you typically hear repeated a thousand times by every other band. These guys also happen to be big fans of skateboarding, and let me tell you, if I was ever in a competition on ESPN2 or the sort, I'd definitely want some Fall Silent blasting through the speakers as the crowd watched on.

This is a pleasant album with a nice variety of songs some of which I have not previously encountered. Drew Minter's voice is correct in every way; that is: nice tone quality, accurate pitch and excellent diction. BUT there is no excitement to be had; there is no emotion to latch onto. He sings "O Solitude" just the same as he sings "Crown the Altar" which contain totally different meanings. His best renditions are: "Lord, What is Man" and "Be Welcome then,Great Sir". The only thing I detect that conveys some sense of drama are changes in volume. These songs can be very meaningful when the performer takes note of the song's message.The accompanying instruments are excellent and the album is worth buying if you are "hooked on" Purcell.
