I am Loco for this album!.......2005-10-28

From start to finish it is great. Better than a lot of mainstream stuff. These guys pack an awesome and energetic live show and the musicians are tight. Favorite tracks: She's the Devil and Yolanda. Love the disco-salsa and cumbia-rock fusion! Elements of reggae also interesting and keep the album fresh. I have added these guys to my lookout list of emerging artists, there's a lot of great new stuff out there and these guys are a prime example. Way to go Locos!

[CD Review: Musica Pa'l Pueblo]. Ironically enough I discovered Locos Por Juana on a CD Review by Christopher Ard who writes for N.O.sotros Magazine, thanks Chris! LPJ's debut CD was phenomenal and you ask any band and they will tell you that coming up with a "good" sophomore CD is very difficult and rare in the music industry. But I've been fortunate enough to see these cats live in concert and I can tell you that seeing them live for the first time was like seeing a revelation. Lead singer Itagui from Colombia is a poet with an infectious stage presence. Yes they are all that and bag of Doritos! So when I heard their new CD "Musica Pa'l Pueblo" (Le prendi una velita a Juana) I became convinced that Locos Por Juana is definitely one of the best bands to come out of Miami since Miami Sound Machine back in the day. Their New CD is exciting form beginning to end, blending Rock, Reggae, Funk, Salsa, Hip Hop and Yucca Frita. It's got it all! Their music will punish you with pleasure and your ears will thank you for taking the time to listen to something beautiful. I give this CD a 5 star Rating, Two Thumbs Up and a Novel Peace Price and I invite you to see them live in concert April 27th at TwiRoPa Mills. [Sergio Cabrera for Mambomundo.com]

Same Soul and Enegy with a new tune.......2005-04-21

Once again doing a Great job, I hear their first Cd, great music, reggue, Ska, cumbia, salsa, rap. This people are super talent, Voices, trumpets, percussion,the whole deal.This new Cd come's with great new sound, it is tight and with tons of joy, Music that wants you to dance and chill and the same time.It is a 100% satisfaction if you are those that like Manu Chao, ozomatly, Mano Negra,La Juana production then you need to get this new cd.

Miami, Florida - Locos Por Juana rip through with energy with their second album release this coming Fall/Winter 2004 with their U.S.debut
"Musica Pa'l Pueblo". It is no surprise that this Latin Rock Band was recently named "Best New Latin Rock Band" in the U.S. by BBC News Europe. This group of young artists won the hearts of all the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Europe where the band proved to be a Phenomenon for their innovative music. Locos Por Juana, known for their musical fusion of Latin rhythms Afro-Caribbean beats, Latin Alternative Rock laced with Hip-Hop elements,
Dub-Reggae, Cumbia and Salsa, has captured the groove of world rhythms. One collaboration on their second album brings the renowned singer and composer Armando Manzanero to his first involvement with a Latin Rock band. After hearing Locos Por Juana's music, Armando Manzanero united with the band and re-made one of his many classical love song singles, "Adoro". Manzanero is featured on the track in a duet with lead singer Itagui. The romantic lyrics of the song meshed with Locos Por Juana style that without a doubt includes a most unique combination, resulted in a very interesting product.

Locos Por Juana will be touring after their album release of "Musica Pa'l Pueblo", in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Europe and Latin America.
