Martita recorded her album "Angelical" in Grammy Award Winner Alfredo Matheus’ studio in Miami, under the production of Miguel Angel "Malín" Villagrán. Matheus, who has worked with renowned artists such as Plácido Domingo, Celia Cruz and Luis Miguel, said "Martita is full of an energy that radiates everything she does. An attitude that is reflected in the emotion projected in her songs." The album includes 14 songs in English and Spanish, and is full of Latin rhythms, love and passion. Angelical was mixed by Gustavo Celis, Academy Award Winner for Best Sound in the movie Chicago.

Recorded by world-renowned harpist Sylvia Woods, these lovely Christmas carols are performed on three special harps: a nylon-strung Neo-Celtic harp, a wire-strung ancient Celtic harp, and a triple-strung harp. Each carol is performed by Sylvia on 1, 2, or 3 harps, with no other accompaniment. This volume (#1) contains 28 traditional carols.

Lovely Christmas Album.......2001-12-24

I had almost the same experience as the first reviewer: heard this music on the classical radio station at christmas time some years ago (KXPR in Sacramento, CA), and had been searching for it ever since. It is surprising how beautiful these oft-heard melodies sound in this setting, and how strongly the spirit of christmas comes through them. A simply enchanting album.

Just before Christmas last year, WCRB, the top classical musicstation in Boston played a selection from the Sylvia Woods "ThreeHarps for Christmas" CD. It was the most lovely thing I had heard in a long time....a lone harp, so pure and so angelic! I searched for this CD in stores locally, but no one carried the album; most had never even heard of it. It has taken me seven months to find it here on Amazon.com, but when I did, I immediately ordered both volumes. They are both splendid! I have listened to them over and over again since they arrived (and it's July!) The music is simply heavenly and seems to tumble so fluidly and unforgettably from her harp. It has all the magic and anticipation and joy of Christmas there within. It will be a forever favorite that I shall treasure for every Christmas to come.

Miss Roca has an OK voice but chica just made news for getting 666 tattoed on her in support for her cult leader who proclaims he is the anti-christ she also boast she gives up to 40% of her to her leader,just so you know where your money is going.Some angel!

Excellent Overview of Brazilian Classical Guitar !!!.......2006-03-17

this mostly excellent 2CD sampler released by Kaurup in 2005 is a highly interesting & educational overview of the Brazilian classical guitar [violao] !!! giving the listener exposure to a wide variety of contemporary artists, composers & interpreters of modern classical guitar in Brazil- it is a wonder-full listening experience for any afficianado of the Brazil's contemporary classical guitarists... Kaurup's previous "stellar" sampler CDs have provided me with some of the best overviews of the violao & bandolim- & now have done the same with classical guitar in Brazil... another well-produced treasure from a recording company that consistently provides taste-full Brazilian music !!!
