Cats In Boots yet another hard rock/glam band that didn't have enough time to mature. The album is sleazy and dripping with testosterone wrapped up in silk scarves & spandex. Honestly they were another Hanoi Rocks influenced band that wasn't quite there yet. With time they could have been. Her Monkey was an ok song along with Shotgun Sally after that its pretty much junk glam metal. If you enjoy sleezy, thin rock with light weight production this is for you. It's not the worst album of the genre but no where near the best either.

What a shame there are only two reviews. This album jams. I have two copies on cassette. I dubbed one over to CD so I can listen to it in the car in the year 2003. Can't believe they never put out another album. Where are they now ... I'm sure they could use a royalty check ...

This was a great band, much better than a lot of bands in the 80s, I can't believe how can disappear without success. The lead singer Joel Ellis is one of the best vocalist I ever hear, and this cd have all great hard and heavy rockin' songs, just listen "Shotgun Sally" "Her Monkey" "Heaven on a Heartbeat" "Long Long Way From Home" and you will blow your speakers.

Your Ears Will Bleed!.......2007-08-02

The cover and title of this album tell you all you need to know about Zeke. They're fast, loud, and unrelenting. This is brutal and raw punk rock-n-roll at it's finest. 17 tracks in under 21 minutes. Enough said. No filler. No messin' around. No wasted time. Zeke take no prisoners and deliver a scorching record. Get ready for your ears to bleed!

Fitting title.......2005-01-16

Few bands have done so much for punk rock in the 90s as Zeke have. The second greatest punk album of the decade, second only to the New Bomb Turks' incredible debut "Destroy-Oh-Boy!", one of the greatest albums ever. The closest thing from the past ten years to resemble traditional hardcore punk. The album reminds me somewhat of the love child of Slayer and the Ramones. I really have to get more albums by Zeke. Hey, they even manage to make Kiss bearable for me!

I love this album, it's just fun to listen to. Never have i heard something so hardcore, that at the the same time actually sounds happy, catchy, and full of wonder, Why didn't this band do any better. You talk about underground, and no respect well than you have to mention zeke. I looked a long time for my copy of this album, and eventually had to settle for buying off of amzon, because there is almost no other way of getting your hands on it.
Regardless, iv'e listened the hell out of this cd and id recomend it to any true punk fan.

Rock'n'roll for lovers of cheap beer.......2004-05-28

This is absolutely the best release from the timeless Zeke. 17 songs in 20 minutes, and not a dud in there. Nobody else can throw verses, choruses, and tight solos into a song like Zeke...or at least, no one that can get there as fast. Zeke does all that in quick 45 second bursts like "Rodney" and "Goggle Boy." Buy this.

craziest guitarist in the world (he's better than jimi hendrix i swear), like in the beginning of evil dead and now you die. good energy filled vocals and drums, the whole band is good what can i say. pure old school hardcore punk at it's best (at leasy today) i really like the guitarist though he's amazing....

This album packs a heavy punch. Front man Mike DeLaCerda pulls deep from his New Orleans blues based roots to bring forth this long anticipated album. American Gypsy is in the taste of all things great. With sounds ranging from Johnny Winters to Jimi Hendrix, its all there. Catch him live, you will not regret it.

I love this kicked in the head CD. This group is not only phenomemnal live but I listen to their CD's each and every day.

The lyrics are powerful and each band member brings so much to this group, they are inspiring. Esp to young bands out there who want to work hard and make it big. They are going to be big so I advise you get this CD now and if you can head to a concert soon before its too late and you miss out. The lead singer Gary Hedrick's voice is unstoppable!!!

The 2nd best punk band EVER!!.......2002-09-06

After Millencolin. These guys are awesome. I own this album, as well as an older one. This band trully knows how to play punk rock, unlike the mainstream punk bands which are spreading around the music scene like a cancer. The CD is awesome, and i strongly suggest getting their early work too. It's nothing like this CD, it's mostly ska, but it's great none the less. MUST BUY if you like punk, real punk not the mainstream horse excrement.

One of rock n' roll's great secrets.......2006-05-20

X are the greatest band you never heard of. Their brand of rock n' roll is of the most brutal and primitive, yet humorous and cool, nature.

Even in their native Australia, they are unknown outside the inner sanctum of 30 and 40-something inner city hipsters in Sydney and Melbourne.

There is no US or British equivalent. They are that rare and special. A live X experience is absolutely unforgettable.

This live album is a departure from their norm - recorded at Sydney's premier jazz club rather than the usual sticky carpet pub. As a 25th birthday commemoration they added strings and violins etc. to their original four piece sound. Still they couldn't help themselves -the raw punk energy still howls through. Testament to the power of their songwriting is how outstandingly well they stand up to these re-workings.

Three members dead since their 1977 inception, this album is a triumphal testament to their brilliance. They're still unknown, yet the most legendary and seminal of Australian bands amongst those who know. There's no other way to say it.
