Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Tis a sparkly CD........2004-03-16

This is essentially a Best of CD containing a bunch of the best stuff done by logic system. Logic AND Venus were released on CD in 1996...but only in Europe and Japan, making them VERY hard to come by (I paid $110 for a 3 CD Bundle that was this CD, Logic and Venus). It is a very good CD...If your into the electronic music of the 80s..this is your CD. It is loaded with synths and sequencers and some drum machines to boot. As the previous reviewer stated, most of the tracks are from Logic. I am personally surprised by leaving out of the track "Unit", which is one of the best Logic System songs.

XY was a hit...and yet it was left off the CD for some strange reason. If your new to the band, or looking for new 80s band to play as opposed to the worn out hits found on every other 80s hits comp, then this is definitely worth a try.

3 out of 5 stars Misleading title - but still good.......2003-12-14

This title implies that this is the collection of titles, published in the 80's as "Logic System". While this does include tunes like "Domino Dance", the Logic System titles are all from the first album. Why the hit "XY?" was left off is a mystery.

The few titles included are the ones from the original album, while the bonus tracks appear to be the subsequent work of Hideki Matsutaki. They are decidedly different and much more abstract than the mass-appeal of the original Logic System tracks.

Since this is the only currently available CD, it is the only choice if you have to get these tracks. But I would wonder why Toshiba, the sponsor of this project, did not re-issue the two original "Logic System" albums ("Logic System" and "Venus") as a collection? I suppose it is the same old license mess...
