Actually, it's been out since at least 1996.......2006-05-19

I bought this in high school when I was in Paris. For the past ten years, I've been enjoying it, and now it's ripped onto my iPod. I love their unique folk/pop/techno hybrid style. I'd say if you're a fan of Luscious Jackson, you would enjoy Katerine even if you don't speak francais.

Mes Mauvaises Frequentations is truly a work of art. French indie star Katerine has delivered 16 sugar-coated tracks that sparkle with retro-chic. Fans of Kahimi Karie (for whom he often writes songs) and Pizzicato Five will love this album. Katerine's strong song-writing is coupled with lush orchestrations of flutes, horns and violins. Furthermore, those who understand French will love his witty writing. Standouts include Mon Coeur Balance, Le Plus Beau Jour De Ma Vie and Parlez-Vous Anglai Mr. Katerine. The third of these that I have mentioned is especially interesting because he duets with Erin Moran who will be releasing her own debut album late 2000 under the name A Girl Called Eddy. All in all, I was very impressed with this album. Any fan of French pop, Shibuya-kei or good music will find much to love in this album.
