His 2nd album is tight.......2006-01-05

A year and a half since his debut, 4-Tay is back with probably his 2nd best album (I have 5 of his 7). As always with his albums you get a good deal of songs (15) and some great west coast beats. Of the 15, 1 is almost a classic, 6 are ok, the other 7 are tight. Guests only rap on 5 songs and do hooks on a couple, so as usual you get a lot of 4-Tay. As I said (and with all his albums) production is great for a mid-90's west coast album. Al Eaton does 3 songs, TC & Reggi Reg, G-Man Stan and the always great Mike Dean all do 2 songs, Too $hort and 4 people I never heard of all do 1 song. A must have album for his fans and fans of Bay Area/West Coast Golden Age (early to Mid 90's) rap.

4 tay 4 sho.......2005-03-27

this is a great cd. "off parole" was probably his best work. it was released in 1996 and has a smooth, funky sound to it. standouts are the tracks "bang boogie boogie" which warns kids of the dope game, "new trump" a pimpalistic tale with some woman moaning in the beginning, "check ya self" takes a different skew on the ice cube song and puts a west coast beat to it, and "ain't no playa", the single, is smooth and has some nice vocals by the woman in the song. it shows where jay-z jacked the idea for his song "ain't no n%$*^". the only down side to this album is that 4tay has a weak flow, but, as with most west coast albums, it's all about the beats so this one gets the big 2 thumbs up with stellar beats. anyway purchase this west coast album and check out why 4 tay should go from off parole to on your cd shelf

Smooth Cali Bay Funk.......2005-02-18

4-Tay comes off sounding really tight on this one. He is very introspective and often pushes being positive. His rapping is excellent, as are his smooth twangy g-funk beats. It is a shame that he gets slept on. It sure beats that mainstream hip-hop of today. If you love rap abouts changing, learning, and growing, as well as some party jams, this is tight, his best c.d. ever! Be sure to check out these tracks: "I Paid My Dues", "Off Parole", "Boogie Bang Bang", and the harder "Still Ph----- Wit My Folk$!"

Yay Areaz Hardest...........2004-08-25

In my opinion 4Tay is the hottest rapper outta the Yay. This album is a must have if your a West Koast rap fan. Album has a lot of hot trackz that go along with his slow yet bangin style of flow.

Great album, this is the first album I bought of Rappin' 4-Tay and I wanna buy more of his but I don't live in the US and people outside the US is slow to get what's bangin.

I bought it becouse I had heard 4-Tay's raps on TUPAC's ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME and thought he sounded excellent and sure enough on this album he did.

All songs but about 2 songs are great, the best ones are: PAID MY DUES, BOOGIE BANG, KEEP THE GAME ON THE SHELF & HOLLA AT A PLAYA...

If u enjoy westcoast rap like CELLI CELL, TUPAC, MC BREED u probably enjoy this a whole lot.
