The smash success of Celtic Woman generated a lot of demand for more music from the talented performers, and The Water Is Wide is a rerelease of the first album of Órla Fallon, the harp-playing brunette. As the title suggests, the album is filled with traditional songs, including "The Water Is Wide," "She Moved Thro' the Fair," and "Down by the Sally Gardens," as well as traditional Irish songs such as "Aliliu Na Gamhna," "Carrickfergus," and "The Gartan Mother's Lullaby." Celtic Woman fans will enjoy hearing "Siuil a Run" again, and it also provides a different vibe to the rest of the album's steady flow of delicate loveliness. Most of the songs are Órla accompanying herself, but at only 37 minutes, The Water Is Wide doesn't overstay its welcome. --David Horiuchi

Enchanted .......2007-06-10
In all my 68 years I have never been so captivated by any one musician or group. I can not seem to get enough ! ! ! I am especially enchanted by Ms.Orla Fallon. Her personal beauty, the clear and perfect harp and her most wonderful voice have won my heart and soul. Then there is Ms. Naisbitt's outstanding performances. Absolutely and astoundingly the most energetic and captivating young lady I have ever heard or seen. The entire effort is beyond belief. I had the great pleasure to see them in person on tour here in Salt Lake City at the Ford Theater in May 2007. I wanted so much to get to meet them but they were scheduled in Denver the next day and had to leave immediately at the end of the performance. May God bless them all and keep them safe and able to continue in this wonderful tradition of Ireland. Darwin M Pope
SEOHANE.......2007-06-08
I enjoy listening to this CD everytime I put it in. It is a very relaxing and calming experience. I have grown to be a big fan of traditional Irish music!
Wonderful!.......2007-05-28
Celtic Woman is a musical ensemble comprised of five Irish and one New Zealander female artists - five vocalists (including Orla Fallon), and one violinist. This wonderful album is a collection of 11 tracks, all the work of the incomparable Orla Fallon. Orla has won the International Feis Ceoil and International Pan Celtic competitions twice, and this album shows off her ability at its best.
I like having nice music to listen to at work, and this album is one of my favorites. While working, I love the angelic sound of Orla's voice sweeping out of my speakers. Overall, I found this to be a great album, one that is always wonderful to listen to. I give it my highest recommendations!
Not a great performance.........2007-05-04
I absolutely LOVE Orla in Celtic Woman, which is why I bought her personal CD - she's my favorite of all the women performing in CW. I was expecting more of the same.. her haunting vocals similar to Siuil a Ruin, Newgrange, and Harry's Game - but no. The entire CD is her and her harp, like on Inisfree from CW - BORING. It's more fit as a CD of children's lullabys then anything for an adult.
Voice of an angel.......2007-03-22
Orla Fallon is one of those highly gifted people who you can raise your spirits and at the same time relax you. Her voice is unbelievably lovely, as is her playing of the harp. Put the two togather and you have a CD, you will play over and over. Even small children will love her voice and gentle way of singing.

Scorpions STILL Rock!.......2007-02-21
I got this at the same time I got the "TOKYO TAPES" CD and its as good as I remember it. However, I could not find the original double (vinyl) album so I could compare the songs for accuracy, but I believe they are all there! Songs like COAST TO COAST, ANOTHER PIECE OF MEAT, STILL LOVING YOU & CAN'T GET ENOUGH get me through my workouts at the gym!
I saw this tour in Austin, TX, which was my third time seeing them live and the first time I saw them as headliners. If I had to say anything negative about the album, it would be that they left out classic songs like HE'S A WOMAN, SHE'S A MAN and LOVEDRIVE, but I still got my money's worth!
Go get this album!
Great set list - poor recording qaulity........2006-11-29
Which is the problem with most live albums, to tell the truth. *World Wide Live* was an honest effort for Scorpions' to capstone the highly successful 79-84 era with a live summerization. Face it, Scorpions had their greatest phase of their career between the *Lovedrive* and *Blackout* albums, with *Love At First Sting* being the commerical icing on the cake. They were some of the best sounding rock albums ever released. However, i belive that *World Wide Live* falls short on doing these songs justice. *World Wide Live* sports a particulary "noisy" qaulity to it that i simply can't stand. Songs are either rushed right through, ad-limbed to death or simply played sloppy. The botched intro to "Bad Boys Running Wild" or all of Klause Meine's lame banter between and during songs are a few examples. Other times, songs are simply lost in excessive noise, by either the crowd or the band themselves. I don't know if this was a result of poor mixing or simply bad production, but it ruins the songs potency when they are buried in an obnoxious crowd setting and played far louder then they should be.The tender nuances of ballads like "Holiday" and "Still Loving You" are completely lost in *World WIde Live*, suffering the most out of all the classics from this flaw. Other number simply feel uninspired and through the 'motions', like "Rock You Like A Hurricane" and "Loveing You Sunday Morning". The original studio versions are far, far superior. My advice is to stick with the studio albums, which for my money, had some of the best production vaules of their time. If you want a live Scorps album, get *Tokyo Tapes* or *Live Bites* instead.
A bit of history.......2006-11-21
Hey, it isn't perfect but these guys probably had a lot of nights like this. The sound is good. The songs are great. And despite what a lot of folks are saying the performances are inspired.
I bought this on itunes for $5.96. Get it now for that price.
Which is the best Scorps live album?.......2005-11-13
My brother and I have a disagreement over which Scorpions live album is better; this or Live Bites. I am partial towards this album. It perfectly captures Scorpions at the pinnacle of their success right after the release of Love at First Sting during their 84-85 world mega tour. In World Wide Live, the sound is rawer and you hear the echoes from the huge stadiums the Scorps were playing in at the time. Live Bites is a very good album in its own right, but it feels "less live" and more "perfect" than World Wide Live for me. The album is more polished and you can hear each one of the musicians perfectly. That is what my brother really likes about the album, the amazing quality and clarity of scorpions on this album which is in stark contrast to World Wide Live, where the sound was much rawer but the clarity is not there. It is just a difference in preference of styles. My brother has his own band and is really into high quality sound which is why he likes Live Bites more. Me, I'm more impressed by the feelings that huge crowds and stadiums in World Wide Live inspire; they make you feel like you are at a mega show.
The crowd is very present in all the songs on this live cd. Some people will find that very attractive while others will be put off by it. I really like hearing the crowd because you can hear the interaction between Scorpions and their fans. Hearing the people in Paris sing Holliday will totally blow you away. Its a shame they only play the acoustic intro to the song, but the French fans are amazing singing the lyrics to the song and more impressively the Ahh-ahh-aaa-hhh-ahhhh part of the song.
Most of the other songs were recorded in large venues in California. It seems like the Scorps had a blast in California because Klaus Meine even tells the fans that they love to play in California because "you people really like to party." Other great songs on the cd are Blackout (played heavy both on guitar/base and on drums), The Zoo (a Scorpions classic played with a heavy bass and beat, along with the crowd interaction), Dynamite (Klaus Meine's vibrato on some of the high notes is also quite remarkable, even better than in the album version, and you also get a pause near the end of the song with the music coming roaring back in). There are of course the really famous songs, Rock you Like a Hurricane, Still Loving You and No One Like You but the best song on the album is Make It Real. The normal album version off Animal Magnetism is a decent song, but in this version they turn it into a song that will just blow your mind away. The bass is so heavy it just makes you move to the beat of the song.
One final note, Klaus Meine speaks incredibly fast. Its actually funny because some times he says things to the crowd and I think they don't understand what he is saying because he is talking too fast (you can tell because when he speaks really fast, they tend not to cheer, most probably because he spoke way to fast for them to understand, for example at one point in Can't Live Without You he tells the crowd "did you have a good time out there... here is Can't Live Without You and I want you out there to fall in love with me alright", and when they don't seem to understand he tells them "hey do you hear what I am saying"). If you get his cd, listen to the Can't Get Enough Part II. It took me a long time to understand what he says to the crowd in San Diego (San Diego you were a fantastic audience and I really love you, have a good time, we can't get enough)
Is it live or is it Memorex?.......2005-09-19
"Do you see the microphones up in the air? Do you see them? Do you know what we're doing tonight? We're doing a live recording tonight!"
Those words spoken by Scorpions' lead singer Klaus Meine are ingrained in my mind and my ears. Hearing him address his captivated audience always brings a smile to my face as I attempt to mimic his German accent by repeating his lines. When I think of the greatest live albums from the Silver Age of Heavy Metal (the 80's), only two come to mind, Iron Maiden's Live After Death and the Scorpions' World Wide Live. I've already given Live After Death its due, so now it's time to lend my thoughts on the other stellar live album by the most famous hard rock band to come out of Germany.
Following the release of their previous studio effort, Love At First Sting, the Scorpions embarked on their most successful world tour to date. Although not quite as extensive as Iron Maiden's legendary World Slavery Tour, the '84-85 Sting Tour was still impressive. Spanning 152 dates, the Scorpions performed for thousands of fans throughout Europe, Japan, South America, Canada and 41 states in the USA. World Wide Live captures not only the intense energy of this quintet but the enthralled fans as well. The entire tour is encapsulated on this one record.
"Year after year out on the road
It's great to be here to see you all
I know for me it is like coming home"
Released in the same year as Live After Death in 1985, World Wide Live touches on all the most popular tracks from the Scorpions four best albums; Lovedrive, Animal Magnetism, Blackout, and Love At First Sting. The period during which those four records were made (between 1979 and 1984), the Scorpions created their most lasting music and established themselves as one of the true hard rock heavyweights of the 80's. Each track is a lesson in Simple Songwriting 101 - melodic rhythms marked by memorable lyrics that will stick in people's minds ("Rock You Like A Hurricane", anyone?). Their sizzling grooves and irresistible hooks are executed to perfection and highlighted by the cheering crowds. Their showmanship is nearly upstaged by the excitement of their fans.
"Day after day out on the road
There's no place too far that we wouldn't go
We go wherever you like to rock'n roll"
More than just a cassette tape...
When I was in high school, this was the tape my friends and I would to take down to Riverside Park next to the Mississippi River. We'd hang out all night, shoot the breeze and listen to World Wide Live on continuous playback. As the prototypical teenagers cutting our teeth on various post-puberty crises, we were indestructible and on top of the world. Our anxieties were always more important than anything else and the only things that mattered more were our self-declared independence and our music. In 1985, World Wide Live become the soundtrack for our lives and took us away to place we would only dream about.
"Year after year out on the road
It's great to be here to rock you all
I know, for me it is like coming home
Like coming home..."
We wanted to be rock stars like the Scorpions. We wanted to come home to the stage like they did night after night. We wanted an entire audience in Paris, France singing the lyrics to "Holiday" back to us. In a way, the Scorpions allowed us to live our fantasy through them. Though unrealized, World Wide Live kept our dream alive and gave us hope. When I hear this album now, I am quickly returned to that park pavilion where the moon dances off the slick picnic tables providing the only light. My friends entertain with cigarette tricks as the music blares from the first generation jam box. For a few moments, we are rock stars.
"Let me take you far away
You'd like a holiday
Exchange the cold days for the sun
Good times and fun
Let me take you far away
You'd like a holiday"
Scorpions' fans know that World Wide Live capped off a series of their finest work. This album is as good as it gets and will have a permanent place in the heavy metal history books. Sadly, this record will be dog-eared because it ended a marvelous run that the Scorpions would never come close to duplicating. Although, it should be remembered for more. The Scorpions will be forever defined by their 80's brand of AOR hard rock/heavy metal and the enthusiasm of their fans world over. World Wide Live demonstrates both equally. I cannot recommend this album high enough to fans of 80's hard rock and heavy metal.

One of the elements that's made the Chieftains the stellar Celtic band in the world is their love of innovative collaborations with mainstream pop stars. The Wide World Over: A 40-Year Celebration gathers into a single collection some of the Irish ensemble's most memorable moments, including predictable alliances with artists such as Van Morrison, who sings "Shenandoah" to additional backing by the Irish Film Orchestra, and unlikely pairings like the Rolling Stones, who add a rock kick and the "Satisfaction" riff to "The Rocky Road to Dublin." Cross-cultural experts Linda Ronstadt and Los Lobos demonstrate their versatility on the Mexican ditties "Txalaparta" and "Guadalupe," on which pipes and pennywhistle don't seem a whisker out of place, while Ricky Skaggs points to the Irish and British roots of American country music on the rousing "Cotton-Eyed Joe." Art Garfunkel, Sting, Sinead O'Connor, Joni Mitchell, and Elvis Costello are also featured in classic performances with the 40-year-old Irish band, while a brand-new collaboration with Ziggy Marley yields a gorgeous Don Was-produced rendition of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song." The cliché that there's a bit of the Irish in all of us proves true in this wide-ranging, constantly rewarding, and frequently surprising collection. And the tracks on which the Chieftains go it alone are also a gas. --Bob Tarte

just another chieftains cd........ALLRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-03-17
hey what cab i say, a great compilation of of past tunes , a sort of best of from their travels around the world.Great stuff as usual.
less than expected.......2006-03-09
I love the Chieftains But this is not what I expected. I have a lot of these cuts on other cd's and I was hoping for some newer stuff. Some live performances..... some off the wall songs oh well better luck next time.
Thank you!!!!!.......2005-10-31
Do you have any idea how long I have been looking for a recording of "I Know My Love?" Try five years!! When I was in Ireland on tour in 2000, I heard that hauntingly beautiful love song and tried to find it over there. I can't believe that while I looked everywhere over in the UK, I am now finding it five years later, long after giving up, on the Internet! And what a beautiful interpretation it is too. I wouldn't have expected anything less from the mighty Cheiftains...
A Great Collection.......2004-05-24
When you're talking about Irish music, the Chieftains' name will inevitably come up. In many ways, this seemingly-immortal group pioneered the popularity of jigs and reels, and, thanks to the guidance of pipe player Paddy Maloney, worked to combine traditional fare with the best of pop and rock.
Aptly titled "The Wide World Over", this collection focuses more on the group's recent collaborations with mainstream artists than their traditional pieces. Some of the highlights include the Corrs' light-hearted duet, the traditional 'I Know My Love', Sting's powerful 'Mo Ghile Mar', Van Morrison's 'Shenandoah', and the powerful anthem 'Long Journey Home', featuring Elvis Costello.
Why four stars, then? I would have liked to have seen more traditional fare on a compilation album. While there are some fantastic jigs on here, including 'Live from Matt Molloy's Pub' and 'Morning Dew/Women of Ireland', overall the album is lacking in the types of songs that have made the Chieftains famous. And, while the collaborative efforts are commendable, they represent a mere drop in the ocean of what the Chieftains have accomplished. It's a good album, but by no means contains the full spectrum of what this innovative band has recorded.
A collection that celebrates the Irish group's versatility.......2002-12-25
On the one hand, I sure hope that the Chieftains aren't leaving their traditional roots, and on the other hand, I enjoy their explorations of different musical styles.
These are all cuts from previous albums, so he who has all of their albums probably won't want this one. For the rest of us, there are some realy outstanding cuts. I especially enjoyed Sinead O'Connor's singing of the traditional "The Foggy Dew". That one's followed by The Corrs and "I Know My Love", another traditional with a fresh twist. Ricky Skaggs joining the group for "Cotton-Eyed Joe" was a real high point, spotlighting the relation of Irish traditional reels and jigs to bluegrass. Joni Mitchell is one of the greats, and hearing her own "The Magdalene Laundries" backed by the group is a real treat. And Van Morrison bares his soul in "Shenandoah", again highlighting the Irish influence on American music.
I was a bit disappointed with Diana Krall & Art Garfunkel's "Morning Has Broken", which certainly doesn't compare with Cat Stevens. So you can't win them all. Sting didn't seem appropriate on "Mo Ghile Mear" either.
However, I was pleasantly surprised by "Full Of Joy" with the Chinese Ensemble. That's one where it sounded everyone was having fun. And the closing rendition of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" featuring Ziggy Marley was a winner.
All in all, if you don't have most of these on other Chieftain albums, you'll want this one.

Excellent Christian Rock.......2007-06-28
It is hard to go wrong with Audio Adrenaline. This CD is another fine example of that.
A great rockin' sound, positive lyrics, and Mark Stuart's unique vocals combine into an excellent album. There are a number of very good songs. Two of them are absolutely superb: Leaving Ninety-nine and Ocean Floor.
In addition to this album, I highly recommend their album 'Audios'. If you don't have any CD by Audio Adrenaline, I would recommend getting 'Audios' first. As it is a greatest hits album, it is total quality throughout.
Easily my favorite Audio A. album.......2006-02-04
This is one album that is best listened to as a whole; every song builds on the last and complements it so well. Of the 2 "Worldwide" tracks, I prefer "Two," but the song that made my jaw hit the ground was "Miracle." This is a simply beautiful song regarding the miracle of losing your prominence in this life and realizing that it's actually better that way. Very poignant song; a must-hear for anyone needing encouragement in their faith. "Church Punks" is another great one, asking Christian youth to stand up and be counted as one of His. Similarly, "Dirty" invites us to live our faith and not be afraid of getting dirty for Christ. I could go on like this for every song, but you get the idea. This album is very lyrically intricate and just fun to listen to, like all Audio A. albums. You can't get much better than this!
Great.......2005-11-08
These guys are proof that Christian bands can really rock. This album was my introduction to AA, and I'm very pleased with it. Although I haven't really taken a look at some of their other albums, I think I might. So if you're into rock at all, pick this one up. Not only do they sound great, but their lyrics always have a good message, which makes it all the more worthwhile. My favorites include both Worldwides, Leaving 99, and the Ocean Floor Remix. Rock on!!!!
Currently my favorite album.......2005-03-06
Every song on the CD is a hit. It's just an awesome CD. I listen over and over and never get bored.
My favorite song is "Start of Fire". I listen to this to get pumped up to RACE MOTOCROSS. It rocks.
I would proudly give this more stars if possible!!!!.......2005-03-03
Audio Adrenaline is one of my favorite bands ever...they have an awesome CD collection and put on one of the best live shows I have ever seen. I have seen them 6 times, and they are wonderful each time and their CDs are also wonderful. I own each one proudly and play them constantly.
This one is probably one of my favorite AA CD's. I get sucked into this CD the lyrics are wonderful and the music just helps to amplify the wonderful lyrics. It is a CD that you can shout with and sing with and feel great about singing your faith. It is a fun CD with passion and love build in. I just can't say enough good things about his CD. I just feel great each time I pop this CD in...it makes you feel good and raises your spirits. I love every song on this CD none of them are a favorite and non of them do I skip-they are all wonderful! I recommend this CD to any past AA fan and to anyone who likes great music should also own this CD it is a necessity for any music lover!

Customer Reviews:
An amazing mix of hits, US edits, and some new songs.......2005-05-20
This was probably the first WWMT album I listened to all the way through (with 30-second samples, of course). At the time I had first checked it out, I was confused and interested at the same time, because I wasn't familiar with the World Wide Message Tribe's music, and because the only dance music I was familiar with was mostly just Raze and ShineMK.
Reach For Heaven (US radio mix): It's a bit hard for me to decide what I think of this, in a way. When you compare it to the original, it's like a completely different song (not just sound-wise). More lyrics were added (which might be a good thing, since the original had hardly any lyrics at all). All in all, this remix really isn't bad! I might actually like it better than the original. I liked that they had Sani sing the chorus this time; the guy who sang it in the original did a great job as well.
Jumping In The House Of God (US version): You know, this isn't terribly different from the original, although there were elements of it I liked better than the original. I still hold to what I said in my last review; I like the remix on The Tribe's album Take Back The Beat a lot better.
Real Thing: VERY classic! This song is hard not to like, even if you're not into dance music. This doesn't have the most frantic dance beat, either; just what I'd call a basic dance beat. This is certainly one of WMMT's biggest hits ever! I'm pretty sure it was a big hit in the US when it came out, too. The song has simple, but very good lyrics. The piano sounds great, the vocals from the girls sound great, and Cameron Dante does a good job rapping. Unforgettable!
I'm On My Way To Zion (Dead Fit mix): This isn't bad, but it doesn't sound as good as original. The new sound effects in it are a bit too muffled. Go with the original, but I can survive and get used to this. There is some nice, heavy piano at the intro that sounds cool, though.
Hallelujah (Praise The Savior): This is quite a beautiful song! It's no doubt the most gentile WWMT song ever, but that shouldn't be bad at all. Sani does a BEAUTIFUL job singing it. The quiet percussion in the background is very nice. Again, BEAUTIFUL song!
Revolution: This has always been one of my very favorite WWMT songs! It has awesome vocals, awesome lyrics, and an awesome sound. It also has a great feel to it. Great for dancing. The lyrics that Andy raps are very good. AWESOME song!
In My Life: This is a bit mellow in some places, but it's a very awesome song! It's from WWMT's second album Dance Planet (1993), so it's pretty early. I hope you don't mind, but I've gotta put in something WWMT's producer Zarc Porter wrote about this song..."Mark and myself are both massive Beatles fans and we always slipped into Beatle mode when nobody else was listening. The song "In My Life" was a case in point. We added lots of farmyard noises and an `80s style synth hook to try to cover it up a bit!". If you listen very closely, I guess you can kind of hear that this was covered up to be less Beatles-like. I actually like how they still left a bit of the Beatles style in it. It sounds cool!
Re.Revival: VERY awesome song. The only vocal in this song is an old recording of a man named Duncan Campbell talking about a revival in the Scottish Hebredian islands that had happened in about 1949, and the whole message was amazing. Here's some more of what Zarc Porter had to say about it..."We were trying to get hold of a recording of Duncan Campbell who was the evangelist involved with the Hebridean revival of the late 1940s. I remember saying to Andy, I hope it sounds characterful and interesting thinking we could possibly sample it and put it in a track. Sure enough when it arrived, his voice was definitely a bit unusual but it also had this incredible anointing about it. Just hearing a first hand account of what happened was gripping and incredibly inspiring. I immediately chopped it up into sections and put some beats behind it. That became the track `Re:Revival'."...The sound effects in the song are great, sounding a bit like "Revolution" in some places. Sorry to be a bit out of place, but you've gotta love that Scottish accent!
The Cross: This is another slow, but very beautiful song. It's off from their first album that was either called "Take A Long Hike" or simply titled "World Wide Message Tribe". Andy Hawthorne and Mark Pennels' vocals mix beautifully and sound great. The lyrics are simple, but they're very challenging and moving. Highly recommended.
Return Of The Queen Of Sheba: From Zarc Porter again..."The rave scene was crossing over into the mainstream during this period and we did "The Return Of The Queen Of Sheba", which was essentially Handel's "The Arrival Of The Queen Of Sheba" over a rave track so that the guys could use it as an intro to the Friday night concerts in schools."...anyway, this is an absolutely AWESOME song. It's so fun it should be illegal!
Joy: Very awesome song! This is a great song, and something that can give you a bit of a rest after the previous track, though this isn't excactly a slow song. Sani has lovely vocals for it! There are also great lyrics ("No matter where I wander to, He will always be in the same place / He'll be there for me, he'll be there for you, and everyone of they want him to"). Very great! Perfect '90's dance-pop.
Come All Ye Faithful: No, this is not the old Christmas song O Come All Ye Faithful, this is an awesome song with challenging lyrics on how some celebrate Christmas ("Sleigh bells ring till it's all over / And children sing "lay down his sweet head" / Everywhere the snow is falling / But no one sees that inside they're dead"). Very cool sounds. The vocals are great, too. Highly recommended.
We Talk To The Lord: This seems cheesy the first few times, but there's a point where it may turn to a classic! Very fun song. As WWMT's producer Zarc Porter said..."On another occasion I remember putting down this weird jazz/swing thing and we had always wanted to do a track about prayer so we wrote `We Talk To The Lord' over it. The sound of the track was a bit comedy so Andy did these tongue in cheek raps for the verses and we had the dancers doing a routine with Kenny Everett style huge hands on stage. It was very memorable, but as with any novelty track they don't last that long before they turn to cheese!"
Peace (US radio mix): This another slow song, but it's VERY beautiful. The ladies do beautiful vocals. This is a very peaceful song. Absolutely beautiful! Highly recommended.
Life (Eternally): This is another VERY awesome song! It's fun with a fast and "punchy" beat. Andy's rap lines are awesome and fun with great rhythm! Gotta love it all! Great fun to dance to.
Nobody Knows (US radio mix): This is a very cool song. It's almost a bit weird sounding, but it's a good kind of weird; mysterious and interesting. After the mysterious and interesting beginning, it breaks off into the chorus with a nice vocal and cool guitar. One of my favs from WWMT!
Sweet Salvation: Absolute cool song! Very good sounds. I love the beat, the synths, and the sound effects. Fun stuff! Sorry to be out of place again, but for the longest time, I misheard the lyrics in the chorus as "I know You're never gonna eat me, I know You're never gonna call" (what I was mishearing as "eat" as actually "leave", and what I was mishearing as "call" was actually "go"). Misheard lyrics can come out so strange sometimes.
There Is A Green Hill: This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL song and a perfect ending for any album! The guys do awesome on the vocals again. Again, here's some more of what Zarc Porter has to say..."As was to become the custom with all Tribe albums, we once again wanted a slow song to end the set with. Mark and myself were at a party opposite our church one day and as we needed this song, we decided to pop over to the church and see if we could write something. As I sat down at the piano I noticed that the music book on the stand had been left open to the hymn "There Is A Green Hill". I began doodling some chords and we started to sing a tune using those words and within a few minutes it had all just slotted together. That song later became our biggest US CCM radio hit."...and this truely deserved to be their biggest US radio hit! This is a sweet, peacful song, and if you want, it can get you into a pleasent sleep.
I have to say, this album is truely worth every bit of money and every bit of your hearing! Very amazing album with lots of great songs on one CD. Perfectly awesome from beginning to end. Highly recommended, especially if you're looking for REAL dance music!

A great techno-dance album with fun lyrics that praise God!.......1998-09-11
This CD is loads of fun! The lyrics aren't really deep, but it is a great CD to listen to while just hanging out and messing around. My youth group went on a missions trip for 11 days, and we listened to this CD every day. Our favorite song was "Jumping in the House of God," but they are all great!

My Opinions.......2004-07-10
There are two versions of this cd. The first one I purchased was the US version. The songs are awsome. The second one I recently purchased is the UK version and I like it a lot better. The songs on the UK version are new to me, unlike some of the songs that are on The US version. Both covers look the same but the UK has a total of 18 songs.
A cool dance AND worship Album.......2002-02-04
This cd is cool and great to dance to and when you ever want to worship God you should pop this cd in! Here are my song ratings:
#1-5/5 my favorite song on here because it's fast and has great voices singing it with a great tune and instruments! Our youth group has played this song in our meeting room! This song is cool to play at a dance party!A popular song in my youth group!
#2-5/5 a cool fast song that has lyrics that can make you dance and worship God at the same time!
#3-4/5 has a good tempo that is danceable
#4-4/5 a more jazzy song that starts out slow but isn't a fast enough tempo to dance to. It is a pretty song!
#5-5/5 a fast song that also makes you dance and worship at the same time! A popular song in my youth group!
#6-4/5 not much of a sweet dance song but has an okay tempo and tune.
#7-4/5 same as #6 only more slow and prettier.
#8-5/5 a cool dance tune! Also a help to worship!
#9-5/5 a very cool beaty tune version of the well known classical worship peice(maybe not that classical) Hosanna!
#10-5/5 A fast very cool dance song with a pretty tune!
#11-3/5 my least favorite song that has a slow beat and I really don't think is awasome but it has an okay tune.
#12-5/5 this is a reprise of Hosanna only it just has people singing Hosanna and Glory. Has a beaty tune!
As you read above this is a powerful danceable cd that has good enjoyable tunes! If you like dance music and worship, here's a cd with both of them mixed together! Enjoy!
Wow!.......2001-08-11
My youth group has this cd and our dj played the first song lot's of times. One night I asked to borrow it and took it home. When I listened to the whole cd, I thought it was really cool! The Real Thing is my favorite song off the album and there are really cool fast dance songs on this cd. #6,7,11 are sorta slow but they are still good songs. Most of the songs make you wanna dance. You would think it's cool when you first play it.
The exercise gospel.......2000-11-22
The reason that I am so in love with this CD is because, the music just keep you moving and groving. I would also recomend this CD for those who are finding it hard to praise God and who would like to get stress and day to day problems as far as possible from them. I am going to buy it for myself that is the reason that I am recomending people to buy it. Love and Peace.
A great vision.......2000-05-29
this cd and the people behind it have helped spread the vision of the work God is doing in European countries. it has greatly encouraged me in my world view.

DA BOMB!!!!.......2000-10-01
Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson & the Spirituals Voices are wonderful. At first I knew nothing about this song. Then oneday my husband came home & said "Pooh U need to hear this song, it sounds good but I donot know who sing it." Finally I heard this song & it surely can put a smile on your face!!! I have been hearing the song since then but never knew who sung it. Just the other day I went in the music store & bought it.The whole tape is good!!! I mean this sounds like the back in the days music, which is what I really like. Please U guys keep up the good work, u sound good!! I will be praying for Wonderboy, because anyone who is doing something positive for the Lord deserves the best. I will keep supporting U Wonderboy, because we hardly ever see many 27 year old men doing anything positive with their life. I wish the best of Love & blessing for this group!!! May God bless u !!!
Quartet singing at its best.......2000-08-31
Each song on this CD is absolutely moving. Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson has an amazing voice, and the Spiritual Voices are wonderful singers too. The musicians do an excellent job as well. When I heard "Be Right" on the radio, I knew I wanted to purchase this CD. I'm glad they did this CD live because I felt the songs like the audience felt them. In each song, Keith ministers to you like in "It Will Pay Off". He also gives wonderful advice to parents. I love the harmonic sound of "Heaven Is A Beautiful Place". I love their renditions of old traditional gospel songs like "Jesus Loves Me". I'm 26, and I thank God for blessing Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson and the Spiritual Voices with wonderful talents. Keep up the good work guys!

Perfect in the time of a storm!.......2006-04-19
I bought this cd for the song "I Told The Storm" the song is so encouraging, uplifting, and just simply wonderful! It is perfect if you are going thru a time of trouble. As I listened to the entire cd, I found that is was a very good cd. They are very annointed and you can tell thru their music.
I told the storm.......2004-05-01
My brother use to play the song on repeat when he was a senior in high school.Every morning. I just broke up with my boyfriend of 4 1/2 years an that song has came back to me. The song is............. so insperational. The interlude hits all the spots, then the song comes.Listening to it I know it will be ok. When you are going thru something it seems like your pain will never end. Eventually it does. When it is over you know that you went thru and it is going to be ok. I may not be able to explain it good, but we all go thru differ storms and sometimes you need someone to walk with you because you feel like you are not going to make it by yourself. This song is the song that is walking with me.
Faced my storms.......2003-06-07
The CD is good, but the best part is I Told The Storm. I listen to that song repeatedly when going through a difficult time. It is very moving. If you are having trouble facing your storm, this is the song for you.
I TOLD THE STORM.......2002-04-18
I ONLY FALL IN LOVE WITH ONE SONG "I TOLD THE STORM". THAT SONG TOUCH ME SO DEEP I CAN FEEL THE SHIVERS GO THROUGH ME.

Hip to Manchester's red-hot club kids, the U.K.'s World Wide Message Tribe has become the holy herald in the burgeoning Christian dance scene with both street-cred and Jesus testimony. Coupled with their service work at schools and their outreach organization, the Message, WWMT has cultivated a hybrid of house, techno, hip-hop, and rap with the idea that if the booty shakes, the soul will follow. Adding a touch of ambient along with a disco streak to its glorious mess of praise, the Tribe (catalyst for the popular and critically acclaimed Jumping in the House of God compilations) took the 1999 Dove Award for Rap/Hip-Hop/Dance Album of the Year with Heatseeker. While not the caliber of, say, Photek or Roni Size, these soldiers of faith step to a buzzy break beat and provide an alternative to Goldie, Prodigy, and sexually explicit dance divas, giving young Christians something to rave about. --Paige La Grone
Customer Reviews:
WAY WAY better than 'frantic'.......2003-09-22
Everything WWMT has done previous to "frantic" is Awesome in my book. It is hard to find christian groups that do techno well or do it at all for that matter. The song Messiah is one of the best songs EVER!!! I wouldn't put Raze and WWMT in the same room as Raze is trying for the teen pop crowd and WWMT is more toward the Ravers. Their new one (frantik) is average, however the remixes are good. LAtely they seem to be trying for a more disco sound and dropping the techno which dissappoints me.
Great album!.......2000-06-30
I was impressed by the new style brought by the World Wide Message Tribe (WWMT). The songs that impressed me were Heatseeker and Hypocrite. They were totally a different style than what I was used to them being. These songs would probably be categorized as Techno-core and all of the others, Dance-Techno. I would compare them to Raze and, well, Raze. They sound very similar. I love the sound in most of these songs, but some of them are too mellow. I absolutely can't wait until "Frantik" comes out. Keep in mind that they are extremly talented and they are not afraid to sing to Jesus.
Absolutelt brill!.......2000-06-28
This CD is brilliant and shows WWMT in all their glory. I live in Manchester, England (home of WWMT) and the latest album (Frantik) was released here about eight months ago. It is even better than this, if that is possible! I hope it gets released in America soon so you can all hear it.END
If you don't have a good system... don't buy it..........1999-10-22
You have to have a good system to be able to appreciate this CD. The highs kick, the bass rox, and this CD has a variety of everything. Great mix to thump to goin' down the road or to get a party hoppin'...
COME ON EVERBODY, RAISE YOUR HANDS AND YOUR VOICES!!!!.......1999-08-10
Is it me, or can you not stop dancing when this CD is playing? Full of hardcore beats (Lift It, Hypocrite), sweet ballads, and lryics that give all praise and honor to the Father, these guys, once again, are showing the world that Christians can "raise the roof" with the best.

TZIGANI!.......2000-07-31
This is truly intoxicating and heady music. If you imagine a brass band (usually synonomous with 'military' music), shaken hard, a rhythm section as tight as can be, playing what can only be equated to a gypsy version of speed metal - you still don't come anywhere close to describing how breathtaking this group plays. I saw them live 3 months ago in london, and the nearest description i can give is like being in a east european rhythmic earthquake. This band plays on the edge of the believable and is probably what the devil listens to when throwing a party. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
exuberant and mesmerizing musica tiganeasca.......2000-05-03
Uplifting, tight and captivating rom music, played with anincredible speed in an upbeat tempo. The rythm, propelled by drivingpercussions, tight tuba and woven together with blazing, butoccasionally dreamy, clarinet, trumpet and saxophone solos, compells dance movement. This exuberant melange of various Balkan and Turkish styles has also elements of klezmer in it. A great follow-up to Fanfare Ciocarlia's first CD "Radio Pascani". Buy it and play it loud and often!
A Great Party Album!.......2000-05-03
It is almost impossible to believe that people can play as fast and as tight as Fanfare Ciocarlia. These twelve guys can play like no one else I've ever heard. The music is not only fast, but beautiful and uplifting. This is definitly one of the best albums of 2000!
Baro Biao:World Wide Wedding.......2000-03-21
I now have both CD's by Fanfare Ciocarlia...and I find that if you want "bouncy" upbeat brass band music in an Eastern European manner, thisx is the type of music to have. The music is addicting and once started, your feet will not stay still! There is a problem...trying to find these CD's!
