Ya hear 1997 top rap artises on this albem.......1999-10-19
What more oculd you want dis cd got the best of 97
New successfully revises the old........1999-06-21
Today's rappers definetly proved to be better than old. It would have gotten a 5, but poor artists like Puff Daddy and Cypress Hill took it down a notch. Bone Thugs N' Harmony finally made a good song. Too bad it was a remake.

Customer Reviews:
Great History.......1998-05-17
When you think about it, this is a very interesting CD. For many years now rappers have been sampling older songs and making them into big hits. They change the words, keep the music, mix up the beats sometimes and add a new title. Like Puff Daddy made his first hit by taking the stuff from the song "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and called it "Can't Hold Me Down." On this CD hot rap artists have taken old songs and in some cases kept them the same. It was kind of like a salute to these old classics, and I really liked it! "Rapper's Delight" was great, and I also loved "The Roof Is On Fire"! Great stuff, you gotta get it!
