Mission Creep

About the Artist
More of a club than a band, the Residudes are to music what freeze dried Neopolitan ice cream is to the desert world: multi-flavored, steadfast, tasty, commercial un-viable, and a favorite of astronauts. Since their founding in 1986 their styles have ranged from blue grass to metal, gospel, blues, hip hop, dance, and a few songs that entirely defy categorization. Music to make you laugh, more than once

Product Description
The fourth release from the multi-national Residudes, there's something on Mission Creep for everyone. Styles range from blue grass to metal, gospel, hip hop, rock, lounge, classic rock, thrash, and americana. And somehow it works. Lyrics range from the mildly amusing to the outer limits of interstellar wit. This band's disdain for 'the rules' borders on the criminal.

5 out of 5 stars The best..........2007-05-16

thing I've heard in years. There is some real creative genius here. Not many pull off the feat of combining music and humor effectively, but these guys have. Beyond that their ability to move from style to style--like no one does (I mean from blue grass to 80's metal to hip-hop to lounge to who-know's-what-to-it-is) in ways that both pay respect to the various stylings yet somehow mock them as well, may be without equal. If this thing ever gets discovered by the discriminating minority of the multitudes it will take off!

5 out of 5 stars Redemption, Renewal, and Regression.......2004-10-09

The great thing about this record is that almost no one will like everything on it; but everyone will like something(s) on it. So far I've seen 7 year olds lose it for Hot Buns, some middle age woman go for "I work with You," and a number of people in Poland give it up for "Thai Young Coconut." My friend's boys were so inspired by the song "Maggie Brown," they named there black lab puppy after her. Your whole family is going to like certain parts of it, and they will be flabbergasted by others. Truthly it is a very unique disc and well worth the investment. It's one of those thing you'll never throw out.

Hot buns is my favorit song. I also like thia young coconut.
I like that they sound like a band and then sometimes they don't sound like a band at all. Hot buns is my favorite and I like to share it with all my friends.

Having been introduced to The Residudes by a friend I was sceptical as to how much their off-the-wall style would appeal... I was blown away!! Good strong sounds complimented by intelligent, if somewhat atypical, lyrics. They render a range of styles masterfully making the CD an easy listen and one that will impress all first time listeners. Running at exactly 30 minutes, my only criticism is length; I want more! I highly recommend this one.

Can't stop playing this! Major influence on my online bill paying methodology! Politically suffecient! When I listen to these guys, it makes me want to ride my bike to school, belly-up to the cafeteria bar on chickenfried steak day, top lunch off with a cinamon roll and speak spanish to my Turkish friends.
