About the Artist
BIOGRAPHY

Marlon Malbrough, O.M.P. (Orange Mound Player) was born and raised in the neighborhood of Orange Mound, Memphis, Tennessee; one of the rougher neighborhoods of Memphis.

He began his musical career at the age of 13 playing drums for Sherwood Jr. High School. Later he attended Melrose High School where he was a member of the dance group "The Golden Boys". During these years, he also DeeJayed for various house parties.

Marlon graduated from High School in 1987, joined the Air Force and relocated to Phoenix Arizona where he joined the group "T-Bone and The Elements", the group began to rap, sing and dance at nightclubs, concerts, and parties. In 1992 Marlon was relocated to Georgia and went solo, producing, writing, and releasing his own music. He released a cassette single titled "Gotta Make That Flow" and distributed it himself in some smaller towns of GA in 1994. It was very successful.

After being honorably discharged from the Air Force in June of 97, Marlon released his first full length album titled "Playaz Talez".

After being on the lowdown since 1994, O.M.P. has completed over five albums worth of radio ready songs. Even though he uses his bedroom for recording, his skills are honed to perfection enabling him to produce some of the fattest tracks ever to come out of the south, resembling the new Hot Boys, Master P, and 8 Ball and M.J.G.

The first track was released to the world on June 14th, 1999 and climbed the local charts to number 36 out of 100.

O.M.P. has a scheduled release date of Jan 7, 2000 for his Sophomore release titled "THIS GAME GOT ME STRESSIN'"

O.M.P.s plans for the near future are to release ten full length (GOLD) albums within' the next year and collaborate with other well known artists!

Bottom line O.M.P. is ready for the big entertainment industry. BAND_MEMBERS: OMP, Ms. Ice, Lil Crunk, MEEKIE, Sinista E

Product Description
OMP - P L A Y A Z

T A L E Z The tightest rap production to ever leave the streets of ORANGE MOUND with 12 original tracks, this album is most definitely the bomb! Tracks include a balanced blend of OMPs laid back vocal blends and soulful, street-conscious singing (all done over OMPs Titeaskat Production of course.) which blend perfectly over the hard beats and basslines that top any similar efforts to date. With both superb lyrics and delivery, it's hard to determine which is smoother. OMP has also produced tracks for several Memphis artists, most recently including King Goldie of Diamond Ring Records. Once you hear the feel that OMP has in taking Memphis Rap to the next level, you will definitely conclude that every track he's touched certainly makes the listener want to rewind over and over and over again and again. This album will definitely head the charts. If you like Master P, Triple Six Mafia, and 8 Ball and MJG, you will definitely want to add this one to your collection.
