Time Waits for No Man
Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
Rasco is an old fashioned braggin' 'n' boastin' MC who may not dazzle the superscientific crowd, but he still puts together an unquestionably solid album. The formula's simple: First of all, stick with what you're good at. Rasco is about one thing--pounding wack rappers into submission. He'll find a dozen different ways to do it, but Ras will get the job done. Next: employ the best producers possible. Rasco's production roster is a who's who of the hottest Left Coast beat makers, including Evidence and newcomer Paul Nice. Kutmaster Kurt keeps getting better, this time on the kinetically crushing "Take It Back Home," and the stalwart Peanut Butter Wolf is at his sublime best with the hook on "What Y'all Wanna Do." --Oliver Wang

Throughout Time Waits, turntable incisions provide blistering reminders that choruses can empower hip-hop music rather than suck up to wack mass trends.

WEST COAST FLOW .......2007-01-03
Another one of my favorite rappers Rasco. I like his flow and have like 20 of his records as I always know he has good stuff that he brings out. He keeps it real and the beats are always on point. I say to everyone out there support this guy and keep buying his stuff this is from someone who has been listening to hip hop for over 25 years and has over 45,000 records. Rasco keep doing your thing and representing hip hop man.
HIP HOP.......2005-08-10
For anyone new to RASCO this is where you should start. This album is full of in your face raps & underground production. You won't be skipping through any of it, its all good.....its all HIP HOP!
A Classic.......2004-12-03
Simple, buy this. First off, the beats are classic. PB Wolf can lace down beats with the best of them. Second, Rasco rhymes with furry. This guys speaks his mind and doesn't care what people think. The Soul Father proves he's a force in the industry. The reason I didn't rate it until now, just like all of my other reviews, is because I never shopped online until now. With that out of the way, get this album. Absolutely no tracks to skip, and the guests Encore, Evidence, Defari, Planet Asia add greatness to an album thats already great.
Tight CD.......2003-04-28
Rasco is definately one of the best MCs that not many people have heard of. The whole CD is quality tracks and there are few flaws. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes real hip hop.
Solid album.......2002-05-30
First off, I didn't know Rasco till linking to one of amazon.com's sites where I saw a Cali Agents album. I knew Planet Asia but I didn't know Cali Agents and Rasco. After checking out amazon.com's listeners reviews I decided to download the album. I gotta admit: it worths downloading.
Here's a brief review of mine about Rasco: "Time waits for no man" (from my point of view).
Time waits for no man --- tight beat, B++
Suckas don't respect it --- tight lyrics, B
Bits & pieces --- original music, B
Major league --- tight and raw beats, B+
Me & my crew --- tight and raw beats, ill rhymes, B++
What it's all about --- raw beats, ill lyrics, B
View to a kill --- tight sampler and music, B++
Unassisted --- B
What y'all wanna do --- tight music/piano, B+
Hip Hop essentials --- best song, tight beats, ill rhymes, A
Hey love --- tight beats, B+
Take it back home --- music similar to one of Ras Kass', B--
Heat seeking --- tight piano and beats, good lyrics, B++
The whole album is tight productionally: Beanut Butter Wolf makes a real solid production very creatively. But I think Rasco is up to Peanut Butter's beats and makes the beats drop...
All in all, this is a real solid album. I really like it.
4 stars.
