Better mix of "Sunshine".......2004-03-26

I like Len, and I like their CD, "You Can't Stop the Bum Rush".
However, the album version of "Steal My Sunshine" includes a silly rap, the lyrics of which don't really make sense, and honestly it doesn't really fit into the song. That is the only version on the album. So if you want the normal version, you must buy the CD single.

Great stuff in the sample-rework genre.......2003-01-10

One of the more inventive uses of short samples that I've heard in ages (sure beat's the pants off Vanilla Ice lifting from Queen & Bowie. Heh heh.)

Note to previous reviewer "dshatlanta": Why on earth would you rate something two stars just because it "wasn't what [you] wanted"? That's YOUR problem, not the CD's.

Note to previous reviewer "A music fan": Um, if you find that you get tired of a song because you've played it over and over, DON'T PLAY IT OVER AND OVER. "Duh..." ANY song gets tiresome if you play it over and over. Sheesh.

Not what I wanted.......2000-01-27

This does not have the radio version of the song on it, instead it is called pop & club mixes. Four different versions and bonus beats. Heavily synthesized! The funny part is that you can actually make out more of the words in these versions! Not what I was looking for!

there was only one song that i really liked. After playing it over so many times, i started to get tired of it.

Why bother buying it?.......2000-07-30

if you thought that steal my sunshine was a good song, and you think the whole cd will be like that your totally wrong. not only was I wrong about the whole cd being like that song, I was wrong for wasting my money on it. in my opinion, there's only two good songs: 1, and 9. If I could return it, I would.

Whatever happened to GOOD remixes?.......1999-12-09

Because I made the mistake of buying it, I can inform you that this is the Australian version of the CD single, with the following tracks:

1. Album Version (with the two guys in between Mark and Sharon's respective verses, talking about "butter-tarts") --- 4:01

2. Skyjump Club Edit (same song speeded up just a little, with an inferior back beat, if you ask me) --- 7:19

3. Bougie Soliterre Remix (this ain't no remix...it's "Steal My Sunshine" done as a cover song by some wanna be "diva", who doesn't sing the words as much as she simply "says" them, in a breathey conversational tone) --- 6:12

4. Neon Phusion Remix (this ain't no remix, either...it's totally instrumental, and I can't even pick out any sounds in it that may have come from the original version --- really weak) --- 5:24

...and so as remix singles go, this really IS a waste of money. It really pains me to say that, because all I do is spend cash on overpriced import CD singles to get the cool remixes, but the TRUTH IS THE TRUTH. If you are really fixated on getting this song without buying the album, you might take a chance on the German version of this single. The only difference is that it replaces the "Album Version" with the "Radio Edit", and the unlistenable "Neon Phusion Remix" gets replaced by something called "Version Idjut". It does retain the "Skyjump Club Edit" (which is the only reason I gave this two stars, even), and you still have to put up with the awful "Bougie Soliterre Remix".

However, I've heard that the album itself (Can't Stop The Bum Rush) is not that bad --- you'd do better to buy that CD than this piece of doo-doo.

This song is a great song even though I haven't heard much of the whole CD. But the one thing that bothers me is the price of this 'single'? 13 bucks for a single? Whats up with that, I could but the whole cd for that price.
