About the Artist
Kirk Dubb
"No Hope...Just Booze & Madness..."
What do you say about an artist like Kirk Dubb? He has the heart of a poet, the mind of a derelict, and he has just unleashed a debut CD that should impact hip-hop with all the sobriety and subtlety of a detox ward.
Booze and Madness proudly displays the drunken dexterity of Kirk Dubb, whose uniquely fermented spin on the rap game is a frothy brew consisting of equal parts Iceberg Slim, King Ad Rock, and Foster Brooks. Make no mistake. The science is as sloshed as it is sociopathic. It is also unapologetic, and undeniably REAL.
Kirk Dubb (a.k.a. Kirk Warner) came up on old school rap legends like Kool G Rap and Digital Underground. But his flow comes as much from Bukowski as it does the Beasties. Sample lyrics: I'd rather throw up than grow up; Pass me another and another like I'm Charles Bukowski's brother. When Kirk Dubb found his hip-hop religion, he found it floating in the bottom of a pint of Guinness. And he hasn't strayed far since
I come from a proud lineage of drunkards and gamblers, Kirk humbly explains.
When no less than Kid Rock heard one early Kirk Dubb track, This Is It, he offered to remix it on the spot, saying he would make the inebriated emcee an underground icon. Unfortunately for Kirk Dubb, the Kid also signed with Atlantic the same week, putting what was sure to be an intoxicating collaboration (and a record breaking bar tab) on permanent hold.
Enter legendary Northwest mixmaster Dynomite D (Dylan J. Frombach), whose turntable pyrotechnics have ignited tracks for the Beastie Boys, Money Mark, and Kid Koala. Dynomite's wicked beats on tracks like Party Time, Seldom Seen, Seldom Sober and In the Pocket (where Dynomite makes the logical musical connection between Bill Cosby's Fat Albert and the Fat Boys), proved the perfect antidote to the hangover of an M.I.A. Kid Rock. Dynomite D's explosive tracks provide the proverbial missing olive to the shaken and stirred wordplay of Booze and Madness.
This is hip hop music for the Everyman. The drunks and the degenerates. The Barstool B-Boys and all the Blue and White Collar Boozers and Boozettes. Dubb's got the party market cornered, as the man himself puts it. With Booze and Madness, Kirk Dubb can make a legitimate claim as hip-hop's premier Wordsmith to the Wasted.

Spellin' Issues twixt D and T.......2004-11-26
Now if you axe me, and many folk do on a semi-regular basis, then this here Cledus feller has an interesting dilemma. First of all, he makes good music. Weird Al Yankovic is the Cledus of the cut out bins. Cledus is a true artistic genius with enough talent to spill over in to three or four other folks what might be interested in making CDs and getting in to the product marketing business. However, on the flip side, that boy has a spelling issue with his name. I should know, because my name happens to be Cletus and it is spelled as it should be.
This cognomen is derived from the Latin and is in honor of Emperor Cletufiscus III who ruled parts of the Eastern edge of the Roman Empire back a coon's age ago. He wasn't named Ce"d"ufiscus, but Cle"t"ufiscus. That is why my Daddy give me such a regal name, because I came out looking like a little emperor... least that's what my Mama told me. Cledus here is a talented individual, and I reckon I'll be buying more of his CDs with the money I done won last year in the Chesterfield County Elk's Club Lottery and Raffle (proceeds going to the Chesterfield County Home for the Infirm) but I sure enough do wish this boy would spell his name right
Another classic!.......2004-10-02
Cledus comes through again with another great album. Without a doubt, he truly is the "Weird Al" of country music!
This album is witty, funny, and smart yet low-brow enough for the redneck in us all.
"I Love NASCAR" is pure Cledus Gold. Classic...
"One Jack Off" is just way too funny! "Hell No" and "Paycheck Woman" are also everything any Cledus fan should expect! The entire album will keep you entertained!
I would imagine that his "conservative pandering" would not surprise most Cledus fans. After all, in his parody of Brooks and Dunn's "Only in America" called "Don't Mess with America" (from Cledus Envy) he says "And thank goodness Bush is our President..." That kind of told me where he stood!
I thought the song "Martie, Emily & Natalie" was funny and quite appropriate given his target audience (i.e. country music fans which are, for the most part, fairly conservative).
Good but seems pandering to conservatives.......2004-09-19
First, as a yankee I love the humor of Cledus T. Judd who has fans that aren't rock ribbed conservatives. I was completely disappointed in the "cheap shot" at the Dixie Chicks that was a boot licking offer to the conservatives of country music. Cledus, be smart enough to realize that you have fans that aren't right wingers and agree with the Dixie Chicks. Toby Keith is no philosopher/genius and doesn't have all the answers so stay out of the spat between Keith and the Chicks and just make us laugh.
Aside from the poor judgement of taking a "cheap shot" at the Dixie Chicks this is typical of the fine humor of Cledus and I wish him well.
Cledus has done it again.......2004-08-26
This album reeks of awesomeness. Each and every song is funny, the cd is also enhanced with the video for "I Love Nascar" If your a big fan of Cledus T. Judd and or a fan of funny parodies then this album is for you.
Everyone's favorite overweight bleach-blond comedian!.......2004-08-24
Nashville, beware! Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Tracy Lawrence, Gretchen Wilson, and Montgomery Gentry listen up--your songs are no longer safe! Cledus T. Judd has returned with his first full-length album in years, and has put all of you on his (no)hit list!
Cledus is a staunch supporter of traditional country music and patriotism. Somehow, he manages to work those themes into these songs without sounding fake. He pokes fun at redneck heaven in "I Love NASCAR" (with a little help from pal Toby); advocates Johnny Cash (and denounces Dr. Dre) in "Hell No"; proves that fart jokes are still hilarious in "__ Is Funny"; says adios to the Dixie Chicks in "Martie, Emily, and Natalie"; sings a ballad of a cards in "One Jack Off" (get your mind out of the gutter!); begs for a home cooked meal in "Bake Me A Country Ham"; demands that lazy women work in "Paycheck Woman"; looks for love in all the wrong places in "Going Ugly Early" and "Starkissed" (the latter written by Toby Keith and Scotty Emerick); and gets serious on the touching "Funny Man."
Country music's "reigning king of country parody", Cledus T. Judd is not going to make the big-hitters shake in their expensive shoes. But he will ruin their songs, and gladly! "Bipolar and Proud" is Cledus's latest album, and it is as funny as he gets! And that, people, is pretty darn funny.

Customer Reviews:
Amazing. It is great........2006-08-02
So it was on hot day this summer, when I went to the Warped Tour with my friend. We were walking around in the beginning saw some interesting names for bands I have heard of then all of a sudden I saw ColdFusion. The name caught my eye right away. I walked over to the stand. Started talking to the manager (for LA) about the band, she started telling my friend and I about it. What I heard next was the band, and might I say this band sounded great, but I didn't hear that much but I still bought the album and it was only 6 bucks and got a free bottle of water, which was great. After buying the album the manager told me that they were performing at 2 o clock.
Fast Forward to 2.
ColdFusion takes the stage and I didn't know what to expect because well I didn't know that much about them or anything. They started playing the first song and wow it sounded great, the rest of the performance sounded great and everything being so close to the stage. The only flaw was that the singer's mic was not loud enough and lead guitarist (Ryan) accidentally unplugged his guitar but it is all good , but still the same sounded great, and it sounds so much better live then on CD. After the performance I thought why not go back to the booth and meet them and greet and say great performance and such. They were so nice and down to earth willing to do anything, and I guarantee within the next year if not already they will be household names and people will know them. Good luck to them and I will be seeing them soon in about a week.
