Much respect due for Freebass, Coach, Franky, and Ward........1999-05-22
Ultra-Violet is an incredible album. It is a great way to take this band home with you. However, it can't replace the energy of seeing these brothers live. For people who like to hear new sound before it gets watered down into the latest pop trend, check this album out. Make sure to see a show as well. Be sure to talk with the four of them as well, nicest guys you'd ever want to meet.

im a huge funk fan and i was turned on to this cd...great songs, and great production...not your usual stale funk cd..very creative..i can't stop singing these songs..then i saw the band in concert last week in toledo with everlast, and they blew my mind...best live band i've seen.... can't wait to hear more....

heard the cd through a friend, and couldn't believe it...loved it all...then i was lucky enough to see the live show in cleveland..man that band slams! one of the best shows i've seen in years. i think we will be hearing lots from freebass in the near future...

man i've been waiting a long time for this disc! i was a fan of SHAG and couldn't wait to see what the funkiest bassist ever was going to do solo. if you like prince you are gonna love this disc. very well recorded and the bass frequencies are something to behold.

Sounds like elements of early Prince with a Bowie- esque feel. With touches of Portishead and the Chemical Brothers. Saw FreeBass live in Chicago and it is the Bomb!

I saw Ultra-Violet live in Berlin in November of 1999. This was by far the BEST drum'n'bass performance I have ever seen! After hearing the performance, I purchased Impact as soon as possible and highly recommend it to all people everywhere. Amazon.com should definitely make samples of Impact available on the web!
