Customer Reviews:
Solid Album From Fat Joe, 4 Stars.......2006-10-31
This ain't anywhere near his best effort like mentioned before but it's still a strong effort from the Bronx MC, there's some hot beats and raps on this album like "My Lifestyle", "We Thuggin'(both versions), "Fight Music", and "Get The Hell On With That", much respect to Joe Crack the Don for making that real hip-hop
I think Joe finally started to realize.......2005-07-31
His vulnerability without Pun. He recruited so many to make this album hot and it was lukewarm at best. Dude even got a washed up reggae n*gga on this. Then he leaned on chester the molester(kelly) to get some mainstream appeal, it did work, cause lately he been blowin up. Fight club is the track that stands out for me bein a huge long-time fan of M.O.P. and plus I like to fight. Lyrically Joe is still lacking but next to a lot of these so-called rappers he is among the best. But I still respect him cause he keep his s*it street.
Come on, it's not that bad.......2005-07-27
I was never a big fan of Terror Squad before "J.O.S.E.", especially because I can't stand Noreaga and I only liked Big Pun. But Joe won me over on this one, because this is his first album where there is good production and guest appearances, minus Big Pun. It's not great by any means, but there are some good songs and Joe makes some good raps.
The first few songs are nothing special really, they sound like everything else Joe has ever done in his career. "We Thuggin'" is good, with R. Kelly, strong track, there's a remix here too. "What's Luv" with Ashanti and Ja Rule was a good track too, I like the production. "Get The Hell On With That" was good too, Ludacris does a good job as a guest. A lot of the other songs are pretty forgettable, but if you listen to them, a lot of them are okay and he makes some good raps on them. Joe is pretty tight here and his career only got better from this point.
Fat Joe is not a great rapper by any means, and Terror Squad isn't amazing either, but through the years they've made some good tracks and collaborated well, and "J.O.S.E" was no exception. 50 Cent should leave Joe the heck alone because Joe has been around longer and is true to his roots, not like 50. This album isn't really worth buying unless you're a TS fan, but there are some good songs on it.
(not a kid just dont have an account).......2005-06-28
he is the fatest piece of crap ive ever seen! his music sux so much! turn the freakin mic off! the mic is off! he is the biggest wanksta fo eva and eva! check these peps out - mike jones, tupac, snoop dogg and nwa (none of those guys weigh 500 pounds)
Pretty good album for his 4th solo -- not near his best.......2005-06-24
After just over 3 years since he released the great "Don Cartagena" (tied with "Loyalty" & "All or Nothing" as his best albums) Fat Joe came back with a pretty good album but far from his best work, my least favorite of his I solo albums that I have (I don't have his first 2). As for this alot of people hate on this album, but it still is decent. Since he became a bigger nap in the rap game he now has a lot of guests on here that are big names as well and not as much of his Terror Squad. He also has a few radio friendly songs so the quality goes down a touch. Guests are on 12 of the 15 songs, and rap on 9 of them, much like "Don Cartagena" you don't get a great amount of Fat Joe but he still holds his own. Production is also done by a bunch of people like all his albums and is mostly good. Buckwild does 2, and ALChemist, Psycho Les, Cool & Dre, Irv Gotti & Chink Santana, Self, DJ Nasty, Ron G, Rob Reef Tewlow, YoungLord, Bink One!, Sean Cane, Rockwilder all do 1 song. Of the 15, 1 is a classic, 2 are near classics, 4 are ok, the other 8 are good, but not great. A good album to have but not his best work.
