5 out of 5 stars who is MC breed?.......2006-05-02

i love this cd hes no longer with psychopathic but its still great from start to finish heres a little about him for those who dont know

Mc Breed was a rap artist from the midwest who first gained notice in 1991 when his first single "Aint no Future in Yo' Frontin" was sampled in a song entitled "Wicked" by Ice Cube. This kept the album on the hip hop charts for 52 weeks.

He would continue to release succesful albums throughout the 90's and then was relatively unheard of in the late 90's-2000's.

In 2004 Mc Breed signed onto Urban Music Zone Entertainment a subsidiary of Psychopathic Records to release his album "The New Prescription. The album was released in August of 2004 with national distribution

Mc Breed also recorded a music video for the album entitled "Rap Game." This single also was hitting many urban radio stations throughout the country. While on Urban Music Zone Mc Breed toured with Bone Thugs n Harmony as well as establishing a failed attempt at a tour with O.D.B. which would ultimately be the last act ever taken place by UMZE.

anyway, this is worth a buy if you want to add to your psychopathic collection. MCL to all the juggalo family.

2 out of 5 stars Who is this guy & why is he on Psychopathic?.......2005-06-01

Well me, being the curious juggalo that I am, decided to give MC Breed's 'New Prescription' a chance. I don't really understand why this guy is even on Psychopathic. I think he's average as a rapper (sounds really old) & he has no "standout" qualities. Esham makes an appereance on the disc which is probably the only reason I kept it. I cna see this dude on another label...on a hip-hop label...but NOT on Psychopathic.

Beware juggalos, this guy has nothing to do with anything on Psychopathic.

5 out of 5 stars Can't call it a comeback, Breed's been in this bitch!.......2004-11-08

I have personally never heard any of Breed's (MC BREED) albums besides this one, but I gotta say- THIS ALBUM BUMPS!

Highlights in my opinion- One two, and For the people, but the whole albums sick!
You gotta love the track w/Esham, and Ess Man Does a great job on the production.

Trust Esham. He knows this guy's DOPE! And so should you!

4 out of 5 stars The best MC Breed album in at least 7 years!.......2004-08-31

I haven't bought an MC Breed album since 1997's "Flatline." I had heard that every album he put out after that was so awful, that even his fans should avoid them. When his last album, "The Fharmacist," came out I barely considered it. Then I heard that "The Fharmacist" showcased a rejeuvenated Breed with a hot new producer, Gee Pierce. By the time I hear all these things, however, the record was already OOP and gone from most stores. You can imagine how excited I was to find out that Breed's new album would be released on Psychopathic Records and the internet buzz was that it was even better than "The Fharmacist." "The New Prescription" exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. Only a couple tracks feature the breezy, laid back style that Breed used on "To Da Beat 'Chall" and "Flatline." The Breed on TNP rhymes fast and aggressively, like a young rapper who's hungry for respect, using more complicated rhyme structures than I've ever heard him use before. The beats from Gee Pierce and Ess Man are hot. 'Nuff said. Of Course, the best reason to buy this album is the first ever colloboration between two of the Midwest's best - Breed and Esham on the scorcher "Roll." It's too bad that this album came out when it did, because it would have made for a hot summertime-bump-this-in-your-ride album. Get it filled!
