Product Description

Finally theres an answer for Hip Hop fans yearning for an MC that could bring them back to the genres golden era in New York City and beyond. His name is Skyzoo. Get familiar. At an eager, observant age of just nine, Skyzoo penned his first song about the urban inner city life he witnessed from the window of his 18th floor apartment in Ebbets Field Projects. Fourteen years, five independent mixtapes, 100 songs and countless shows later, the 23-year-old Skyzoo has matured into a legitimate full-fledged artist. The loyal Brooklynite, who has already received accolades from Jay-Z, Nas, Buckshot, Sean Price and EPMD for his street-heavy, sharp narrating style and wit, understands a Hip Hop fans mentality and is prepared to customize music for their eyes and ears. Yes, music for their eyes and ears. "If they lend me their ears, they lend me their eyes," says an assuring Skyzoo, who prides himself in the art of storytelling with a street swagger. "I promise you when you hear my music...I promise you, you're going to not only hear something that you've never heard, but see something you've never seen. It's that real. My lyrical style and sound is what Hip Hop used to be. Some may remember Skyzoo for battling Jin on BETs 106 & Park, while others may have heard his tracks playing at Madison Square Garden during a Knicks game. In addition, although unsigned and actively grinding for a deal, one would never know it by peeping a live Skyzoo show. More than 800 people crowded into the Star Club, a New York City venue which is meant to host a max of 600, on December 22, 2005 just to see Skyzoo tear it down. The attendees included New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, who witnessed the show and told Skyzoo hes the real deal. Respected artists and producers in the game have already taken notice at the sheer talent that Skyzoo brings to the table as well. The Brooklyn MC has already recorded with Little Brother, Khrysis, E-Ness from Bad Boy, EPMD, Sean Price, Needlz, Jay Dilla and Hi-Tek, just to name a few. Skyzoo is already off to a quick start in 2006. He has recorded The Way You Get Down, a club banger which industry heads are already dubbing the 06 In Da Club. In addition, Skyzoo has also completed a project with super producer 9th Wonder entitled "Cloud 9: The 3 Day High". The two completed the 12 song disc in 3 days; which is unheard of in modern day Hip Hop. The buzz surrounding this LP has skyrocketed through the net, and the response and anticipation is beyond belief. Along with that, Skyzoo is enjoying a massive following overseas and is reaching out to his fans with his own site and most recently via MySpace (www.myspace.com/skyzoo). With Skyzoo as the torch bearer, Hip Hops future is fluorescent bright.

2 out of 5 stars Extremely Overrated (Rating: 5 out of 10- -2.5 stars).......2007-05-14

This album is nowhere near perfect, dope, or brilliant. Like Norfeest and crtx mentioned, Skyzoo sounds like Jay-Z both vocally and lyrically. Infact I was in my car and a friend of mine thought this was a Jay-Z mixtape of some kind that was just released. Thats how close to Jay he sounds (don't worry, this is a common NY trend nowadays). I understand that this was made within a 72 hour period, but there is a saying that "perfection shouldn't be rushed". This album is an example of that saying. The songs "I'm On It" and "Come Back" is an example of what I'm saying. "The Bodega" is your average 'I'm gotta get paid' track (another up north trend), thats been done and by much better people. And I just bust out laughing everytime when he spells his name out. And he contridicts the heck out of his style on the song "Mirror Mirror". Skyzoo should have spent more hours bringing a more of an origonal style to his skills instead of relying on what he is doing now, nor relying on 9th Wonder's production. Speaking of which, thats also another common trend: 9th Wonder producing an entire album, or a high number of tracks for their album. Hey, I love 9th just as much as the next person, but his production is no different than any other album he produced (Little Brother, Murs, Kaze, etc.). In fact, I myself getting tired of his repetative production. And if the beats on here aren't something you're used to, they're aren't that good. "I'm On It" isn't an appealing beat from 9th. And party/upbeat sounding "Live and Direct" is nothing astounding as well.

There are some good songs on here though. And when I say good, I mean good not great. "You And Me" is a good song about him getting a female and is backed by a good 9th beat. I would say that it's the best track on the album.

Overall, this album is average and overrated. People are probably loving this album because it's one of those "something different from the radio" albums, and the fact that 9th Wonder's name is one this album. Just because you have one of the most known producers of the moment on your album doesn't mean you're album is dope. Skyzoo's flow is average and nothing brillant whatsoever. There is a reason why people take their time when recording an album, and don't make it in 3 days. If Skyzoo would have put more time into his album, this album would have been much better. At the end of the album, he says "Imagine if we had 3 months...". Maybe he sould have taken that into consideration. Peace.

4 out of 5 stars That Classic NYC Dope .......2007-03-15

Straight out the lyrical flow-lines of NYC. Solid beats and rhymes as you would expect from anyone claiming da Apple!

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2007-03-08

I Rarely Use the Word "Beautiful" with HipHop Albums Anymore but This 9th Wonder/Skyzoo Album is Absolutely Beautiful To Listen Too. 9th Wonder Steps It up With the Beats with Amazing Samples and Backround Bass that Will have any True HipHop Listener saying this guy is Sick. Skyzoo Comes Perfectly with a nice Smooth Flow and Deep voice (totally different from jay-z's high pitched voice). The Album Starts off with a Beautiful Hiphop tune "Bare Witness" with sick piano sounds in the backround and a nice chopped up Sample. The best TRack on the Album is "Way To Go". This TRack has an unbelievable Catchy Sample that will have u Singing along for days. 9th Wonder Came Off with Some of his Best work on this Album.

Any True School Hiphop Fan who didnt enjoy this album really shouldnt be Listening to Hiphop Cd's anymore because u probably just lost your taste for REAL HIPHOP and should take up listening to other Music Genres other than Hiphop Music. Anyone who Gaves this Album Less than 5 or 4 stars are either Writing Reviews for Attention or Really is just too Young or DumbedDown or Doesnt understand Real Hiphop Sounds anymore and those people should go Somewhereelse. CLOUD 9 is a near perfect album (I wish there was 2 or 3 more tracks) But any True School Hiphop fan will LOVE IT. 9th's BEST Work Here as Usual. REAL HIPHOP FOREVER!!!!.

5 out of 5 stars MURS-9TH DID IT AGAIN!.......2007-05-20

3:16 WAS ONE OF THE MOST LOVELY HIPHOP ALBUMS IVE LISTENED TO IN A WHILE. MURS VOICE IS CRAZZZZZZY. I COULD LISTEN TO MURS RHYME OVER THE RIGHT BEATS FOR DAYS AND 9TH WONDER SUPPLY'S THE PERFECT BEATS FOR MURS. 9TH IS KILLIN IT NOW A DAYS. THE ONLY THING IS THE END OF THE CD HAS U WANTING MORE AND MORE AND MORE. I WISH THE CD DIDNT CUT OFF CAUSE I WAS LOVIN IT. 9TH WONDER HAS MADE MURS NAME ALOT MORE KNOWN IN THE HIPHOP INDUSTRY AND I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT INSTALLMENT. KEEP UP THE CLASSIC'S YALL CAUSE ILL BE BUYING THEM. PEACEE!

5 out of 5 stars CLASSIC!!!.......2007-04-15

3:16 OR MURRAY'S REVENGE. I JUST CAN'T DECIDE WHICH ONE I LIKE BETTER. 9TH AND MURS ARE PERFECT TOGETHER. A DEFINITE IMPROVEMENT OVER MURS-SLUG BEATS. MURS ON THE MIC HAS ONE OF THE ILLEST VOICE'S HEARD, COMBINED WITH MAD-DOPE STORY TELLING ABILITY THAN DONT GET OUTSHINED BY THE ILL BEAT HE'S RHYMING OVER. ALOT OF 9TH WONDER ARTISTS GET OUTSHINED BY HIS AMAZING PRODUCTION BUT MURS HOLDS HIS OWN. PEOPLE TRYING TO HATE ON MURS ON THIS SITE, MAYBE CAUSE HE AINT GIVE THEM A AUTOGRAPH OR SOMETHING. MURS PLUS 9TH WONDER = CLASSIC ONCE AGAINNNN!

3 out of 5 stars Wasn't feeling it....3.5.......2006-11-06

Im a fan of Murs, and the Liv.Leg. Crew, but i ended up just skipping tracks until the album ended, nothing bad about the guy, Murs is off the chain, but i felt like i wasted 10 yucks, for instance the song about white girls acting black, i just couldnt listen....peace to you..

5 out of 5 stars My Second Favorite LP Of All Time.......2006-10-11

This is one of the greatest hip hop albums I've ever listened to. In my opinion, Murs has never sounded so good. His flows are vivid and realistic and the production fitted them to the Tee. I thought every song was extremely dope. I highly recommend this in your collection. I know this review will not make me popular w/many but I have to write it how I honestly feel. Save the negative remarks for someone who cares. I know Murs is not the best MC of all time. I'm not sayin that. He's far from it. I'm sayin this is my 2nd favorite album of all time simply for the overall feelings I get from it every time I put it on. I'm sure if you want some heart-felt/feel-good Hip Hop music this will suit you. Peace

2 out of 5 stars Not that good........2006-10-11

Murs just isn't a good as he thinks he is, at least not on this album, or his last one. At one point on the album he says "...that's why 3:16 was genius". Sorry, but 3:16 was mediocre. Murs sounds better when he's rhyming over Ant's beats alongside Slug. 9th Wonder's production comes off as amateurish when compared to the stuff on the Felt albums. Murs should drop 9th Wonder and get somebody else to produce his albums for him. Get RJD2 or something.

4 out of 5 stars 9TH BRINGS THE BEST OUT OF PEOPLE.......2006-06-05

i bought this joint on the strength that it was produced by 9th wonder, and wasn't disappointed at all.kaze exhibits what the south has to offer lyricaly, but gets overlooked & overshadowed by crunk and the rest of that nonsense.kaze talks about more than diamonds and candypaint, his words have substance.subjects range from dealing with shady women to his deceased mother.only drawback to this album is that it's mad short plus it has like 3 versions to "soul dojo". if you want a break from the mainstream go copp this.

5 out of 5 stars Sleeper................2006-02-04

This album is really great. It has the deep- meaningful lyrics you have come to expect from Justus League and some dope beats from 9th Wonder. This guy "Kaze" is great on the mic. I never heard of this guy. Best believe I will be keeping an eye out for his next CD. This is just a fantastic CD to listen to when you get tired of the radio flavored emcees. the soulful production and lyrics make this a perfect Cd to purchase.

5 out of 5 stars This album is hot!!.......2005-11-25

After getting hold of the Little Brother albums, Murs's 3:16, and the Buckshot and 9th Wonder album, i really fell in love with 9THs skills. This album is now my favorite out of the lot, and all of them are superb...

The reason this 1 sits at the top of my pedi stool is Kaze. This guy can spit fire, yet keep his lyrical content inspirational and spiritual. His word play and flow can be stunning at times. Put this together with some of the best beats and sampling 9th has come out with, and you have an album worthy of any hip hop library. From the heartfilled and soulful "Should've Been Here", to the base filled, head knocking "Stay a Customer", Kaze and 9th pump liquid ear candy that would get any true hip hop lover wet.

After truly despising the MTV money grown M.C's like 50 on heavy radio and T.V rotation, it truly keeps my faith in Hip Hop when finding diamonds in the rough like this. Who said Hip Hop is getting old.....

5 out of 5 stars Kaze and 9th keep it real.......2005-11-04

9th Wonder is the best producer and Kaze is a true-spoken cat from Chapel Hill. This album slaps and represents real hip-hop.

had jaydee not passed, it would've been nice to see buckshot push it all the way to the both of them collaborating...his flow on a few of these beats are remniscent of slum v...i hope he brings it around and get madlib or doom to create with him - that would be so dope.

5 out of 5 stars Real Headz Wreckonize.......2006-11-07

Money who gave this album 2 starz is totally insane. I'm so excited just to hear some real hip hop comin back around. This is one of the first projects I can honestly say I would have rpepresented back before '97 (the bad years). If you're a BCC fan get it, if you are a young buck tryna catch that feelin from the golden era-scoop this. My man has Enta'd da Stage all over again.

5 out of 5 stars accurate chemistry.......2006-08-21

9th is awesome and rapping was also good .this the best buck i have ever heard.all i can say go get it i you don t have .this album is classic.great producer + great mc =dynamite album

2 out of 5 stars No chemistry.......2006-06-12

as much as I have been a lifelong fan of black moon and buckshot in general this album just lacked the ironically titled "chemistry"between buckshot and 9th Wonder. The beats were a bit lackluster and boring and rides that razor thin line of boring and laid back with most of the beats raiding the boredom zone. they are working on a part two so I hope they take their times to create something permament rather than something disposable as this album was.

5 out of 5 stars Ludacris88 - Completely Right - 4.5 stars.......2006-01-03

Firstly, i would just like to say that Ludacris88 has hit the nail on the metaphorical head. Exactly what they said i was thinking. I don't feel any need at all to copy ou twhat they wrote or what i thought, coz they would be the exact same.

But these are my personal favourite songs (in order):-

1. Side Talk

2. Money Makes The World Go Round

3. U Wonderin

4. The Ghetto

3 out of 5 stars For Those Of You That Dont Know.................2003-09-25

This is Witchdoctor, from the dungeon family. It seems this album is out and nobody even knows cuz he kind of changed his name and went to an underground label. Overall, i was dissapointed with this album, considering his other one (Witchdoctor- A.S.W.A.T. healing ritual) was one of the best cd's to come out the ATL since Outkast. That was a classic cd no doubt. This is kinda different wit different beats that dont really work. He needs to get back with outkast, goodie mob and get some beats like he had on his old album. I give this a 3/5..his other one was a 5/5 no doubt..

EDGAR ALLEN FLOE COMES CORRECT WITH THIS EP. THE TRACK "TIMELESS" IS WORTH 5 STARS ALONE. MAN THAT BEAT PUT'S ME IN A TRANCE. SMOOOTH AS HELLLLLL. 9Th Wonder , Khrysis, Illmind are Flawless as usual.

3 out of 5 stars True Links Review.......2006-03-17

Overall, there are a handful of tracks that make this album standout. These tracks are I for an I, Great Adventure, Faith in Love, and Imagine, all of which are produced by Illmind , 9th, and Krysis, and Edgar himself. The other tracks lack the "wow factor". EAF is a good MC, and I have no doubt that his upcoming efforts will be much stronger. His Justus League counterpart Cesar Comanche went through the same phase, where Paper Gods was so so at best, and Squirrel and the Aces was one of the hottest albums ever put out this year.

3 out of 5 stars More Justus League Heat (3.5 Stars).......2006-02-23

I'm assuming that it is an EP because it only contains 8 tracks (not including the intro) and it it clocks in at just 31 minutes. Out of the 8 tracks on the album, I'd say 5 are good. Tracks like "I For An I" and "Faith In Love" are real standouts with their soulful beats and well thought out lyrics. Another banger is "The Great Adventure" featuring the underrated Median and the overrated L.E.G.A.C.Y. "Imagine" is a smooth track with a great message/story to it. Production is handled by Khrysis, 9th Wonder (2 tracks), DJ Forge, Picasso, Obsidian Blue, Slicemysta, and Illmind.

As far as flaws go, this album can suffer from drowsy production. Most of the beats are smooth and laid back. The album doesn't really shift gears enough to hold your attention. Couple that with the fact that Edgar's flow is pretty basic (he sounds like Kaze, but without the wordplay) and you end up with a few snoozers on the album.

True Links is a pretty solid effort from Edgar Allen Flow. There are some pretty good tracks on the album, but Edgar's flow is somewhat elementary. If you're into "rappers" then you'll dig this....if you're more into actual "emceeing" then you may want to pass on this. Though it's a pretty short listen, it's still pretty good. If you're a Justus League fan, you'll dig this. Check it out.

Standout Tracks: I For An I, Imagine (My Favortie), Faith In Love, and The Great Adventure feat. Median & L.E.G.A.C.Y.
