5 out of 5 stars A pleasant suprise........2004-06-23

So I'll start off by saying this is a must-own for any Keigo Oyamada fan. Not only does it gather all of these hard to find remixes on to one disc (because they're scattered on various EPs and singles by various artists), but the tracks all have a nice flow to them; crossfading and segueing into each other like a typical Cornelius album.

My only complaint (yes, I know I put five stars, but if someone can give Good Charlotte or Crazy Town five, there's no way this will get any less) is that about halfway through you realize that the majority of the samples used are from Cornelius' album Point. This makes sense seeing as they were released around the same time and doing remixes for these big name artists was more or less a form of marketing/promotion. I guess it's sort of like Point with guest singers. Some tracks are better than others but not much beats the remix of the Blur song, "Tender". Absolutely killer.

I think the only market for this outside of Japan are Keigo Oyamada fans with quite a bit of disposable income. At thirty to fourty bucks a pop, I can't imagine it selling much, but if you're looking for a fresh take on some well-known (and a few lesser-known) pop tunes you really should give this a try. And then maybe buy a couple Cornelius albums too.
