This CD is ok. I only purchased it for the intro and the first two songs on the track. Love the beat for those.

4 out of 5 stars Back in Day!!!.......2004-11-11

This cd reminds me about my early high scool days!!! I played this tape religiously, even my mom started to like it....It is one of those albums that came out at the right time during the right year. He is not no lyricist, the beats are not the best ever made but the album just clicks...

Songs like word to tha d, jiggaboo pie, vertical joyride, and one of the top singles ever made in my opinion B**ch betta have my money make this album a hard to find classic..hell i still have the original white tape and i bought it on CD....Hotep!!

3 out of 5 stars Decent debut album - 3.5 stars.......2004-11-03

AMG comes with his extra funky jazzed up hyped beats & one dirty mouth, most of the songs on here are about sex (that goes along with being a buddy of DJ Quik). The album is decent but he says some lines that'll make you laugh til you cry. It has a few good songs but most are decent at best. The beats are tight though. Features 2nd II None (KK & D), & Boss.

5 out of 5 stars One of the Best Ever.......2004-05-19

I grew up in the golden age of rap (1986-1993) and can say with all honesty this is one of the best from the era. Some of you new rap listeners may not get it since you grew up on Puffy and other MTV crap (which has destroyed music as we know it). The only beef is too many skits. I just want those fresh beats and fast rhymin. This is definitely up there with Straight Outta Compton.

Poor AMG, he had it all and threw it away. At least he put his mark on rap music. Good work AMG! and that value meal is to go.

5 out of 5 stars Straight Nasty.......2003-02-02

I was 12 years old and in the seventh grade when this album came out knowing damn well I shouldn't have been listening to it. The beats on here are banging for real(my old walkman headphones never did do the bass justice), and the lyrics are straight nasty though well delivered. Honestly, the blunt sexual nature of this album is of course what makes it a classic. I'm not really sure if I like this record because it's good or out of sentimentality, but it's 11 years later and I'm still diggin' it. Title track, Vertical Joyride, and Tha Booty Up are probably the most recognizable tracks, but if you've heard those you've probably heard the rest because you know this didn't get much radio play. Damn, if my momma had have known what I was really listening to in the backseat...

1 out of 5 stars Da Saddest B****.......2007-02-07

I remember when I first heard heard Trina I couldnt help but wonder what was people's fascination with her? So what she makes raunchy records, the girl couldnt rap her way out of a flavored condom plus she sounds like a hood version of Edith from All In The Family. From where I from Trina is the most overrated female ever. This album is concrete proof of that statement. The first single The Baddest B**** is so cheesy it makes you wonder how this song became a hit. Pull Over , Off The Chain Wit it, Off Glass and I Dont Need You are extra cheesy to the point you might get constipated from the first listen. Other disposables: The Big Lick(Blah), Aint S***(a female version Of Dr. Dre's B***es Aint S***. How original), I'll Always(super stale plus she should be sued for screwing up Ronald Isley's Voyage To Atlantis), Watch Yo Back and the rest of this album.
Bottom Line: Trina's Da Baddest B**** is the worst female rap album next to the Notorious K.I.M. and Thug Misses. The beats suck, her lyrics sound like they were conceived in the mind of a tweenager and her voice is as painful as scratching a chalkboard with your fingernails. Lyrics like /Sisqo made that song/ when he seen me in a thong th th th thong show you that she puts the corn in corny! Da Baddest B**** more like Da Saddest B****!

1 out of 5 stars I feel like throwin' up.......2005-08-21

A full review doesn't make too much sense considering the album cover and title. I never heard the whole album since I bought this in 2000, when I was still naive to the dirty south. I was a fan of scarface and outkast, I love miami so I gave this a try. I hated it then and I hate it now. I never got past the first 6 pieces of ear poison(notice I didn't say songs). Cause this isnt music. I know I said it before, but why would any woman want to consider herself a bitch? How could any woman enjoy listening to this self-degradation? I still don't know the reasons but considering her albums constantly sell there's a lot of women that feel the same. The same way how you women wonder is there any good men out here, is the same how men like me wonder is there any good women. And judgeing by your favorite rappers and role models, I can safely say there is'nt too many. Buy this album only if your new to this music genre, the front cover looks funny, or your mind is in the gutter. Cause in my opinion, only a lowlife can enjoy this.

3 out of 5 stars Tight Beats, Repetitive Lyrics {3 Stars}.......2006-07-02

This joint is more like a 2.5 star LP, but a lot of the production is on point. This particular album dropped during the peak of the Flava Unit's popularity ('93). While Apache wasn't one of the more notable rappers in the crew, he had one of their biggest hits with the classic "Gangsta Bi***." While that track was bangin', there really weren't many others on the level of that song to be found. The production definitely reeks of that early 90's boom bap -- and it should since Apache, A Tribe Called Quest, Large Professor, S.I.D., Diamond D., The 45 King, and a few others dropping tracks.

The flaws are easy to point on with this album. I quickly grew weary of him rapping in vivid detail about sex or going on and on about his dills. It becomes rather repetitive after a while. Not only that, I think he bites Treach's flow. Also, there are corny interludes and songs like "Blunted Snap Session", "Kill D'White People", and "Apache Ain't Sh**" that weigh the album down.

Apache Ain't Sh** isn't necessarily a wack album. The beats are definitely on point, but whether you love this album or not depends on whether or not you dig these kind of lyrics over and over. I don't. There are a few gems, but nothing on this album to warrant buying it brand new unless you're just nostalgic and want some old hip hop. Even if that is the case, you can find something better than this album. I'm not too sure if this holds up all that well after 16 years. I recommend checking this out if you can find it used.

Standout Tracks: A Fight, Do Fa Self, Get Ya Weight Up, Gangsta Bi*** (My Favorite), Hey Girl feat. Milo & Collie Weed, and Woodchuck feat. Latee, Cee, Double J, & Naughty By Nature

4 out of 5 stars good album.......2005-05-07

I remember watching the video for 'gangsta bitch' in 93 and I was like ''hahaha, this is a mad track'', and knew I had to buy the album. He was down with naughty by nature too. And his album was mad, he had some nice rhymes and his flow was tight. The album makes you laugh when you hear some of the sh#t he says. The tracks are nicely produced and have a naughty by nature sound to them. He also got it some sh#t with queen latifah which was funny as hell, and she made a reply track because she couldn't handle what he said. But anyway, if you are after some real hip hop, get this. Later!

3 out of 5 stars prime hardcore.......2003-10-24

this is a intresting album, once you get a listen. it is a
classic of the hard core era. The Newark new jersy style is evident in apache's album. As a memeber of the flavor unit and NAUGHTY BY NATURE family he represents the hardcore and the real life

Plain and simple, Boss Bitch is BANGIN! Along with the rest of the Raise up record click, they put down an instant Memphis classic. If you enjoy tommy wright III, Gangsta Boo, and 3-6 mafia, you'll love Boss. She has a tight and unique rap style,(with a lil TUNG TWISTIN TA BOOT!) that could be consider by some equal or even superior to La Chat and Gangsta Boo. You think MYSTIKAL can get LOUD AND CRAZY wait till you hear Boss. GREAT lyrical skills by her and her tight gueststars(Bar None, Krazy K, Corrosion, many others)bringin new talant, and the beats are just BANGIN on every track. My favorites

5 out of 5 stars Bust Down, still just as good now as it was then.......2001-03-29

I bought the Bust Down tape when it first came out. Very very cool tape. I have long since lost the tape and just happened to run across some the songs off this album on the internet. Sounds just as good as it did way back when. Bust Down always had a very distinct sound and it still comes through loud and clear. If you are looking for the best that came out of Luther (Luke Skyywalker) Campbell's stables from the early 90s. Look no farther than this CD. Anyone who can truthfully say they don't like Putcha Ballys On, I would have to wonder about. Buy it and enjoy.

5 out of 5 stars Bust Down is the bomb!!!.......1999-05-17

Bust Down rocks. I can't believe no one has heard of this album. It is one of the top ten CD's I ever bought. Pissin' Razor Blades, Nasty Bitch - how can you not love this shit?

5 out of 5 stars This is the greatest CD I've ever owned!.......1999-02-26

This is a must buy for anyone who enjoys Rap music. Bust Down is more than a rapper; he is a poet in the spririt of Wordsworth, Keats, Yates, and 2Pac. The second track, Nasty Bitch, is perhaps the pinnacle of Rap artistry in the early 90's. It epitomizes the pain that lies in Bust Down's vocals, as he calls for respect for his fellow man.

this cd isn't stuff polished up by messcaleen himself- it has been bootlegged. the verses still flow- messy marv is smooth but vicious, without sounding too cheesy like a lot of rappers that stress gangsta stuff constantly. compare mess's lyrical style to snoop dogg, with mess being a wilder version, with snoop laid back in the cut with an L..................

This has to go down as one of the best West COast albums ever. AMG drops some dope rhymes over fresh beats. If you loved Hi-C's frist under-rated cd and loved Second II None's cd....you are gonna fall for this one. I have purchased this album like 4 times. i wear them out and people steal this cd from me when they hear it. one of the few albums i would actually buy brand new at full price. This is simply a fun album to listen to whether drinking, smoking or just plain bumping in your ride.

4 out of 5 stars Hardcore Hip at it's finest.......2000-06-20

AMG got his start working with rap artist DJ Quik. His cd Bitch Betta Have My Money was his best solo project. This cd entered the scene at a time when gangsta and explicit rap music was at its highest level of popularity. The songs on this cd have very hardcore lyrics backed up by some serious beats. The music on this cd was easy to dance to and featured some very nice catch phrases for the time. The cd was truly a great work of creative lyrical style that was unique to AMG. This cd is a must have for any hip-hop enthusiaist. The cd was overall well put together with great humor included.
