Customer Reviews:
His best album next to Piece of Mind.......2006-10-27
Standout tracks: TELA, CANT STOP ME, BYE BYE HATER, PLAYBOY, DRUGS(Tela and Devin killed it), SHO NUFF 2000, TABLE DANCE millenium mix(way better than the superbland original), HELL NAW, SET ME FREE(talks about his problems with Suave House), THE WORLD AINT ENUFF(dope ending to this album). Filler: Lets be friends is too dull to be enjoyed. Bottom Line: Tela 3rd album is better than his sophomore jinx album Now or Never. Killer production, tight lyrics and guest appearances that do the album justice. Unfortunately his forth album Double Dose is not touching The World Aint Enuff and Piece of Mind.
The World really ain't enough!.......2005-06-30
Tela is the biggest rap act to come out of Memphis next to Eihtball & MJG and the Hypnotize Camp. He released his debut album on Suave House, and then moved to Houston based Rap-A-Lot Records, home of some of the biggest names in Hip Hop, including Scarface & The Geto Boys, Yukmouth, Do Or Die, and many many others throughout the years. The World Ain't Enough is Tela's second album on the label (3rd overall). I thought he couldn't top his first two albums, but he actually did!! This album just blew my mind. It's a rare thing to meet an artist with so much talent. People don't know, but Tela produced the whole album by his own, from beginning to the end (with some help from longtime friend Slice Tee on a few songs)! And you know what, he's one of the best producers in the rap game!! I mean, I can't believe he hasn't produced for other rappers all those years. He could make some crazy $$$ only by producing, that's for sure. His production is so special, Dirty South rap that's driven by bass-heavy dance beats. On this album, once again Tela put out high quality material, while growing up as an artist. It's another highly ambitious record, that incorporates elements of Memphis soul, funk and even rock, all blending into a highly potent mix of Southern Hip Hop. Tela is not afraid to take elements from soul, blues, jazz, rock and R&B, and combine them with his street-smart raps. I can't pick up favorite songs, since I love all of them, so I'll just name a few "Hell Naw" is a rock-inspired crunk jam, "Can't Stop Me" is such an addictive song you'll listen to it time after time, "The World Ain't Enough" (feat. Scarface and Lo-Key) uses a beat similiar to Sisqo's Thong Song (even better) where the RAL rappers give praise to the label's CEO Prince J for putting the South on the map. "Tela" is another great track - You know, it's amazing, even when Tels brags and talks about gangsta sh**, he always sounds POSSITIVE, I can't explain it. It's like even when Tela's bragging, he's a down-to-earth type of person, something rare in the music industry. "Drugs" features Devin and Gangsta Blac over a mind-blowing beat. I even like the intro, where Tela tells us about his childhood. "Throat On the Boat" is way too short - it should've made it a full length song. On this album, Tela puts 2 updated remixes of two of his classics - Sho Nuff and Table Dance, and although they sound great, they weren't really needed - the originals are perfect the way they are. So you actually get 11 new songs (one is less than 2 minutes long), 2 interludes, and two remixes. The album is so perfect, that you wish it was much longer!! There is NO weak spot on this album, nothing! I think, that Tela could be the most marketable artist on Rap-A-Lot (yes, even more than Scarface and Devin!), since he's got that mainstream appeal in his music. However, Prince J never really puts effort to promote his artists, and that's a shame. But it's all good - he lets Tela do his own thing, produce the album by himself, use the artists that suit him... To me, Tela is one of the most talented and original artists, and you MUST listen to his music, to understand that. If he's too much for you, keep listening to Chingy and Nelly. Cause Tela is just on a whole new level.

A great addition to rap-a-lot records. In my opinion Tela doesn't get the kind of credit he deserves. This album is a huge boost from his previous release "now or never". The album starts off with the bass pounding single "TELA" which is sure to blow your speakers out. Followed by "Bye Bye haters" which to me is the best cut on there where he sends a strong message with lines like "Haters can't see me, cause haters don't like me
We two different players: I'm gator, you Nike." "Table Dance" and "Show nuff" are true bangers, but also adds a twist to the album with the song "drugs" featuring talented and underated artist Devin the dude in which he spits humorous lines that he usually boasts. Overall the album is solid. He probably could have done away with the skits but overall, i recommend this album. Even though the album dropped 4 years ago its still in heavy rotation to this day. Go out and cop this album...........i'm out

This CD is not really a good one.......2001-09-12
I like this CD,but it's somethin I didn't expect than in his previous album Now or Never,Tela put his old mixes in it, Sho Nuff and Table Dance.Plus the CD is short, and it shouldn't have a skit or a short intro. His rap skills is pretty wack, he raps a little too slow, and sometimes he stops for 1 or 2 seconds, miss half of a line.I like Scarface the Last of A Dying Breed better, but Tela is one of my favorite rappers, but I don't like to see or hear him drop down like that.
