Some Hard To Find Gems On This 2-Cd Collection!.......2007-06-01
The seventh installment of SPG Music's (Canada) "Old School Jams" is one of their better ones. This collection is a mix of funk, electro, disco and r&b. You get hard to find gems such as Brooklyn Expresses "Sixty-Nine" (basically a reworked instrumental version of Jimmy "Bo" Horne's "Spank"), Gwen McCrae's "Funky Sensation", Brass Construction's "Movin'", Patrice Rushen's "Haven't You Heard", Fern Kinney's "Groove Me" plus more. Although the songs on this album are grrrrreat but I was looking for The Invisible Man's Band, All Night Thang and this album pops up and the song is not listed. What's up with that????????????????

THIS CD IS EXCELLENT SOME OF THE MUSIC I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE UNTIL I PLAYED IT IN MY CD PLAYER AND I COULDN'T BELEIVE IT. I WAS LIKE MAN I HAVEN'T HEARD THIS SONG IN A LONG TIME AND IT BOUGHT BACK MEMORIES.

Hard to Find Hits.......2002-03-12
I saw this cd at a party and then searched record stores hi and low with no success. I was so excited to see it on Amazon. This cd has some of the greatest dance hits ever. My main reason for purchasing was the Kano jam, however the entire cd is a stone gas. Whenever I play it, everyone wants to see the jacket and they beg to borrow. Great club music from days gone by!
Get your party groove on!.......2001-04-12
These songs take me back to the days when R'n'B was good to dance to. It reminded of living in an apartment building with music pumping through the speakers and people grooving to the beat. I was exercising and dancing to these songs! The main reason for buying the CD was Kano's "I'm Ready" (which I played several times when I received it in the mail today). But there were other hits that I remembered and worked out to as well. Those were my good old days!

I got this disc for one song, the uncut, full length version of "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind and Fire (with the Emotions). The rest of the disc is good - but "Boogie Wonderlan" is in a class by itself!! Five stars!!

Good selection of songs in their full length versions. These type of compilations have been in short supply lately. I hope the record companies begin to see that these are worthwhile.
