you have to get this cd, not only did i grow up 10 houses away from the lead singer but now im listining to his unforgetable albums,this group is insanely wild........they should male it to the top with this album no question....you know who i am ryan

The Boston based band GAGE are back with their third and by far most impressive work to date, "Silent Movie Type".

Strong, dynamic vocals and highly original lyrics are combined with the thick wall of sound produced by two furious guitarists to produce nothing short of impressive. Thunderous bass lines are provided by former SSD guitarist turned bass player Al Barile, and innovative, split your skull open style drumming ties the whole package together.

The full potential of both guitars is constantly put to good use, shining through especially well on the vicious "My Hemisphere". Fans of hard rock will be drawn to tracks like "Down To No End", "Weld Your Mouth Shut", "What's Your Damage", "Broken", and "Tea Bag". Hardcore listeners, "Get a Face", "Silent Movie Type", and "Hero To No One" are for you.

But this is not only an amazing hardcore/rock record. On songs like "Perfume", "Unwind", and "Incensed", the expansive vocal range of the lead singer is convincingly presented. An impressive Alice in Chains style solo and multiple, almost Radiohead-like passages dripping with harmony are also hidden amongst the louder tracks.

Notice how I named every track? They are *all* that good. This CD is a rare gem in a genre where monotony has become the standard. Expect to be impressed by this CD.
