About the Artist
Lucky started rapping and freestyling with his boys in the hood in 1996. Eventually, the public began to take notice of Lucky from his works on a two-song demo which included early hits "Out on bond" and "H-town". A copy of the demo given to Charles Chavez led to his first record deal with Latium Records and features on the Latin World Down South Compilation. Lucky's first album on the label released in 2001 was entitled "Lucky Me".

Teaming up with national recording artists such as Baby Beesh and SPM, led to Lucky's appearance on SPM's hugely successful "The Purity Album". His popularity and appeal quickly grew beyond Latino/Hispanic artists and audiences as evidenced by Houston DJ 'Mad Hatta' offering him a guest spot on his album entitled "Can I Live". In 2002, Lucky left Latium Records and signed with Dopehouse Records. In just three short years, he has been featured on over twenty (20) albums. Lucky also continues to grind on the streets by making underground CD's and mixed tapes with his crew Unseen as well as with other popular Texas artists.

Lucky has spent several months in the studio preparing for the Summer 2003 release of his upcoming album entitled "You Already Know". This album is sure to gain him national respect and lead to many new and exciting endeavors.

Album Description

The best way to explain what this band sounds like is that they are a combination of REM, Hootie and the Blowfish and Dave Matthews with a smidgen of the Allman Bros. for good measure.

This band has a melodic foundation with a marvelous pop sensibility; they are intelligent, crafty, and very talented at every position in the band. Get ready folks, the south is gonna do it again. They have all the cardinal traits of greatness and I hope you as the listener are curious enough to check them out.

I normally don't listen to Rock, but this album draws you in. Every song is perfectly done and very smooth. If Dr. Dre did rock music, it would sound like this! This has become my favorite album by far.

4 out of 5 stars title of review.......2005-05-26

These guys really are at the absolute top of the commercial radio pop-rock pile, as good as Collapsis, Athenaeum, and Transmatic. I don't know how these guys haven't got a major label deal, because they're totally better than 95% of major label rock, and every song on this album has hit written all over it.

I personally do not like Cardinal Trait or this type of music. They are just another cookie cutter band with nothing to make them stand out in an already flooded music world.

5 out of 5 stars These guys rock!.......2005-04-25

This CD is a surefire hit with a blend of catchy hooks and well written lyrics. What makes this CD stand out is that ALL the tracks are great!

3 out of 5 stars Agallah The Don Bishop: You Already Know.......2006-09-02

Agallah first studio album is "You Already Know" (2006). The Brooklyn Rapper and Purple City member gets some help from Dead Prez, Carl Anthony, Ike Eyes, Alchemist, Kool G Rap and the Nappy Roots on this release. My current favorite track on this album is "New York Rider Music" Agallah drops some raw thugged out rhymes repping his city over DJ Premier's exceptional production. "Hardcore" is just that, a track to bang in the whip. Agallah then collabs with singer Carl Anthony on "Losing My Mind", a strong cut which has Agallah talking about his everyday struggle to get paid and come out on top. Stic.Man of Dead Prez and UMI drops in for "Artificial Love" a track about fakes homies who can't be trusted. After some words from Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Agallah teams up with Ike Eyes for "Built For This" and talks about his passion for Hip Hop. Rap Legend Kool G Rap drops in for the fast paced thugged out "Right Now". Agallah provides a throwback type track with "Take Me Back" reflecting on what Hip Hop, Girls, and life used to be like. Agallah, Big V and Clutch of Nappy Roots provide a very deep track with the powerful "Mama" (Mom R.I.P.) - appreciating mother's who gave there all to look out for their own bad ass kids. Agallah finishes his album off with the ominous "Cry For Help". Production on this release is on point, and most of the collaborations are good too. "You Already Know" is a strong street album worth checking out. 3.5.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic.......2006-01-30

No matter where you are, this is great music to listen to... in the car, while making dinner, or just sitting and reading a book. I tend to listen to CDs too often and get a bit tired of them, and off to the shelf they go. Not so with this... no matter what... it's just great music! It's on my ipod and in my car so it's always there, and it has yet to get "old".

5 out of 5 stars The Winding Mystery..........2005-09-21

Bill Deasy is probably one of the finest songwriters I have ever encountered. Right up there with JT, Joni Mitchell and Dan Fogelberg in my mind. His entire body of work represents some of the most deeply satisfying, heartfelt wisdom and yearnings from an artist of any era.
The "winding mystery" to those who have discovered this man's genius, is why he is not a big star...But like any good mystery, it is the road of discovery, the journey itself that is of value. Deasy's musical journey has been long and at times convoluted, but ultimately redemptive, and it's clear he is on the right road with this new album "Chasing Down a Spark."
Here we find a hotter, more worldly Bill Deasy, and the tunes overall present the writer's optimistic world view. Lessons learned, wisdom found, forgiveness realized...
From the bluesy rockin' "Wishing Well", to the quiet, plaintive "And I Wait" to the many songs with catchy, hook-filled choruses that compel the listener to join in (Until I Get it Right, Now That I Know What it Means,Turn your Light On), this album has a feel-good quality that refreshes.

Joined by friends in both the writing and the performing (Brian Webb, Teitur Lassen, Molly Bancroft, Jane McCafferty, Rachael Yamagata,Maia Sharp, Scott Blasey, Rob James and more...) Deasy's clearly found the spark and got the fire going...

5 out of 5 stars Turn your light on!!!.......2005-07-30

A few weeks ago i bought Rob Thomas solo cd "something to be". I really liked it. It's the kind of music you listen to and you start to like almost every song from the beginning. And that's the difference! You play it a few times and it doesn't matter wether you play it again or not. "Chasing down a spark" gets better and better with each listening. There's so much to find in it.I might have listened to it for about 80 times the last weeks and i still can't get enough - and i still explore new moods, ideas and intensions. This work - by the man himself Mr.Deasy - isn't just a cd...it's what life is all about. It captures more than you would wish to expect when you buy a cd.
It is silent and loud, happy and sad, dressed and "naked", powerful and weak at the same time. And you keep asking yourself "man - how can one cd do this to me?" I'm still impressed. And i'm still thankful for this work. 5 stars could never be enough! And there could never be enough words to describe it...so take the chance!!!

5 out of 5 stars I agree with cotton hell.......2005-09-29

suicide notes is definately a heavier sounding album. the curse may be good and all but alex sounds a lot better on suicide notes. i like the string quartet, because it reminds me of when metallica did thier old songs from ride the lightning and such and let the symphony be in the background. i think its flipping sweet.

5 out of 5 stars a steaming pile of crap > Cotton's so called review.......2005-09-01

First off, I'm not a kid. I just don't want to sign up to put my opinion on here.

Cotton, wtf does a string quartet TRIBUTE album have to do with getting radio play? I'd seriously like to know. The Curse only did one thing for this band. It made them even better. The Curse is better than Suicide Notes mainly for 3 reasons...

1. The production is much better and...
2. Alex's screaming is also incredibly improved(seriously listen to some songs of of SN and then The Curse, and you tell me which sounds better)
3. Brandon's melodic vocals are used more often. I know a lot of you "hardcore" kids will disagree, but music that is nothing but constant screaming in your ear is annoying. I think Atreyu does a much better job of switching between the screams and singing.

Now, I'm not saying that Suicide Notes is bad. I just think that The Curse is an improvement. I also like how you say that anyone who disagrees with you is wrong. Well, I'm not going to say anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. They just have a different opinion. Anyway, I'm not really into instrumental albums that much....but I'll give it a 5 because of the band that is being revered.

5 out of 5 stars True fans will adore this materpiece........2005-04-05

First off, don't read Cotton Hell's review. If you lust atreyu's music (or if you are just a music lover in general) you will enjoy this album. These are all songs that were originally written and composed by atreyu! Yes, this is a tribute album. It is also an instrumental album. Personally I don't care if you like it or not. I just couldn't stand seeing just one review by an obvious simple-minded individual. Give it a listen and decide for yourself. That's why amazon.com gives you the listening options!

4 out of 5 stars A Good EP.......2003-07-12

I try not to overhype a product in my reviews. I want to be honest because I like reading honest reviews.

The Ataris are an awesome band who deserve everything good that comes to them. For those that haven't heard the Ataris before, try listening to one of their early albums such as "Blue Skies, Broken Hearts, Next 12 Exits" or "Anywhere But Here." "End is Forever" is great too. I was a little disappointed by their newest, but that's another review.

But this album only if you're an Ataris completist and want to show your respect for them by buying their CD. It offers acoustic versions of 2 GREAT songs along with some songs that I haven't heard before. I gave it 4 stars because of the price. 12 bucks for a few songs is too much.

5 out of 5 stars A great EP!!!!!!.......2003-03-09

This is a great EP it was a taste of what the full lenght cd was goin to be like with "takeoffs and landings"and "eight of nine"
and a acoustic version of " 1*15*96" which is the best song on the cd. The cover of "teenager of the year" is good too. So buy it if ur a ataris collector and want all the ataris stuff cause it is worth it!

Acclaimed far and wide for their inventive brand of modern pop, Minneapolis-based Love-cars return to the new-release rack with THANK YOU FOR TELLING ME WHAT I ALREADY KNOW, a captivating set of literate and richly textured rock that's as hard-hitting as it is hypnotic. Co-produced by the band and Ev (12Rods), the album tempers raw, guitar-based aesthetics with artful ambient touches, holding fast to the distinctive songcraft and adventurous arrangements of previous outings (1998's CHUMP LESSONS, 2000's I'M FRIENDS WITH ALL STARS).

    Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A Must For Celtic and Accoustic Fans.......2003-03-19

A great album by a great band. I had the pleasure of hearing FTTB at Tommy Makem's in NYC in the early '90s and am glad the CD exists to testify to their strong instrumentals, songwriting, and singing. And their cover of "Catch the Wind" is great.

    5 out of 5 stars 4 to the Bar.......2002-12-01

This was perhaps one of the best Irish/Rock/Ballad bands of its time. Too bad the boys all broke up and went their seperate ways. I heard David is back in Ireland, while one of the boys is raising a family in Florida. They played many of the Bronx/Yonkers bars like Sam McGwire's, Rory's and the Landsdowne. Their other album is a live album record at Sam McGwire's and is worth a spot in any collection.

5 out of 5 stars Lucky For Me.......2002-01-30

I was so very lucky to have been able to have been at many of their concerts. It was the first time I saw people become so very Irish. I will never forget '95.My brother & I were changed by the experience. We with the band well.

    5 out of 5 stars Wonderful!.......2001-11-08

I accidentally saw Four to the Bar live in the Bronx apparently right before they stopped touring and performing together. I've had a copy of this CD since that night and it is one of my favorite CDs in my collection. The music runs the gamut from haunting ballads to songs that make you get up and dance.
